Firstly, it's time for another fun week with the Color Dare! Take a look what beautiful colours Riley has got in store for us:

Feeling already warm & cozy inside? I thought you might :) Below you can see my sample. Please forgive me for the awful quality of the photo - this is the last time I'm taking the picture at that time of day (*cough* I meant night), and in that light. I was trying to lighten it up, but it only made things look grainy *sigh*

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; papers, stamps: Grant; ink: Versa Color Green; ColorBox Ice Blue; ribbon, buttons: stash
Also, being encouraged by the Tuesday Trigger title for the previous week, and feeling oh-so-inspired by the magnificent card by Kimberly Crawford, I decided that I'd give this week's challenge over at Moxie Fab World a go. Below is the jaw-dropping inspiration piece, and my take on it.
I didn't really want to change much, as I like everything about that card. I used some wet embossing instead of traditional inking - I think it turned out really nice, with a subtle play of tones & textures.

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: Quill, Kaisercraft; stamp: Hero Arts; ink: VersaMark; clear embossing powder: Hero Arts; ribbon: Sullivans; pearls: Michaels; letter stickers: Fynmark; button & twine: stash
Lastly, there's this fun colour challenge at SCS this week: CC259: OLYMPIC Color Challenge EVENT! It gives us an option of choosing one or more colours from the Olympics, and I went for the last option: choose all FIVE colors from photo and neutrals of choice. There were no specific colour recommendations except from the photo below, so I just used some leftover papers that roughly matched it ;)
The sketch is Mercy's MTSC62.

Supplies: cardstock: Quill, DCWV; papers: digital, DCWV; stamp: PaperWorks Co.; watercolour pencils: Belgrave; blender pen; decorative scissors; Glitter Glue: Reeves Diamond; rhinestones: Kaisercraft; Bella!; ribbon & snowflakes: stash
Isn't this card as girly as can be? I love all this bling :) It's perfect for some little, hard-working ice skater girl, who dreams about competing in the Olympics one day! Anyone knows one? LOL
Thank you for stopping by! {hugs}
