Happy Mother's Day!

Today is very special to me, for it's the first time that I celebrate Mother's Day! :D
I love being a mother. Everything about maternity is divine. It's the most exciting journey, to see the little one growing, learning, enjoying life. I'm so grateful for what I've got, that often I'd look at my tiny Precious, with my eyes full of happy tears.

I got a wonderful bunch of flowers from my hubby - which is the best gift ever. I was always giving my mum flowers on this occasion.
In Poland we're celebrating on 26th of May, and this couldn't possibly be the more appropriate time of year. I was always going out to pick wildflowers - the meadows in May are full of awesomeness, lilacs are in full bloom, the air is rich with sweet scents, and it all set my hear a flutter. Unfortunately, here in Australia it's forbidden to pick native wildflowers. But there's also no mum around here, that I could hand the flowers to, and say how much I love and appreciate her... *sigh*
I'm counting the days until I see my parents again... it's under a month now! Ahhh...

Speaking of Mother's Day - apparently I wasn't the only one that liked the card that I made for my very special mum. It was featured in both OCC and Cards blog! Thanks, girls! {mmwah}

But - enough of the blabber, I've got new stuff waiting to be shown...
We've got a new great sketch at Card Paterns, and a great sponsor - The Stamping Boutique!

"The Stamping Boutique" is dedicated to quality products and original artwork. We not only provide wonderful digital images in our store, but also several lines of red rubber images. Our designers are chosen for their character and personality,as well as, their beautiful designs. We work hard to give you our very best. Thank you so much for having us as your sponsor this week.

Store: http://thestampingboutique.com/
The Stamping Boutique is so generous that they will give away 5 digital stamp images or 3 rubber stamps of our randomly picked winner's choice!
WooT!
Below is the sketch and my take on it, using one of the sponsor's gorgeous images.
This is definitely not my best effore in watercolouring, I'm afraid...

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: Kaisercraft; image (digi): The Stamping Boutique; stamp: Flourishes; ink: ColorBox (Blue Iris); watercolour pencils: Belgrave, blender pen; glitter: Reeves; white gel pen; lace: May Arts; ribbon: Sullivans; string: PTI; other: button

Also, it's time for another awesome Curtain Call Color Challenge: {ACT 29}!
Again the colours inspired me towards making a masculine card. I made it for my dad - Polish Father's Day is approaching soon too!
He loves cars... The image is a colouring page that I googled. I coloured it with inks - I decided that I take a break from watercolours...
I also used Taylor's sketch (TESC112), and I'm also entering it into Flourishes "Make It Manly" challenge (FLLCMAY10). It's a shame that I don't have any *manly* Flourishes stamps though...

SO thrilled you have Chuplet and can celebrate Mother's Day for the first time. I, like you, just love seeing my kids grow and develop and love watching them while they are sleeping with happy tear filled eyes. They are a true gift - even on the days they are driving you nuts LOL! SO glad you get to celebrate with your own mom shortly (and can't forget dad!) and be able to pick her some wild flowers :D Happy Mother's Day - even though your day is almost over now.
