It's crafty evening for me, and although Chuplet is not making things easier for us tonight (it's 11PM and she's still not in bed... ugh!), I had a while to whip up this little something:
Supplies: cardstock: American Crafts; paper: October Afternoon; stamps: Prima (background), Hero Arts (flowers); ink: Versa Color (Pinecone); sentiment sticker: SRM Stickers; ribbon available here; butterfly punch: Martha Stewart; clear embossing powder: Hero Arts
It's been a while since I took out my embossing gun, so I'm pleased with myself. I know I'm not being especially creative on a daily basis, building my cards mostly on pretty papers and such. I do like it like this (which is basically what it's all about, eh?), but I feel like I should try different techniques and challenge myself more often. Remembering that wet embossing is fun, is a good way to start... LOL
I designed this card around Keesh's Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #34, and yet again I reached for the awesome colours of Color Cue {7}...
I hope you like this one - I do :) As always, I'm so thankful for your comments - you make it all worthwile!! {hugs}

Hi Iwona,
ReplyDeleteWhat you describe on basing your cards on pretty papers, is exactly how I feel myself sometimes. These are the cards I like the most, if I'm honest, like this one from you, it's sooo pretty and it's just perfect! And pretty papers are amazing, and why not use them, they made them for us, right?! Hi hi! But I know the feeling, that you feel like you should do more. But it's very creative to think up a 'simple' design like this! In fact, most people say it's more difficult than a 'busy' card! So, please keep on going making cards like this!! I loooooove them!!
Hugs, Wendy
