WCMD is over, and I barely had any time yesterday to celebrate it... well, in my style, that is :) I've been thinking about having a nice crafty evening and at least 3 cards done, but I watched a film instead... and I don't regret it a bit!
I've been so involved in different card-related activities in the past weeks, so that plus precious family time are taking it all, and I barely do anything else. I know, it's bad... there's so much more to my life than this (wonderful!!) passion of mine, and I've got to remember that.
(note: it doesn't mean that I'm going to slow down, oh noooo! I just have to find a nice, satisfactory compromise :))
That being said, I did find a compromise this time, and settled for clean & simple on my new cards.
First one:
Supplies: cardstock: Stampin' Up! (Wild Wasabi), Papertrey Ink (Rustic White), American Crafts, kraft; stamps: Rubber Stampede (Crackled Background); Stampendous, Impress, Papertrey Ink; ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Frayed Burlap), Kaleidacolor (Cappuccino), Versafine (Onyx Black); black & white pen; satin ribbon; string: Papertrey Ink; button
It's based on the JUSG53 sketch (Yay girls! Way to go with a full year of FUN!):
The colours of C4C57:
and ssnotime159 - Three Is The Number.
Another one:
Supplies: cardstock: Stampin' Up! (Purely Pomegranate), Papertrey Ink (Rustic White); stamps: Papertrey Ink (Blooming Button Bits); ink: ColorBox (Deep Green), Kaleidacolor (Cappuccino); grosgrain ribbon; buttons
The sketch is based on CAS86, and it also goes to PPA62 - All Buttoned Up. The colours are JAI37:
Thanks for looking! Now Chupa is taking hubby & Chuplet for a nice long walk, on this fine spring day... We're going to look for some snails for our water tank, so that our fishes don't feel too lonely *wink*

ReplyDeleteFabulous cards, Chupa! I love the crackle finish on the base of the card! I know what you mean about being so caught up in the card making that it takes you away from other important things! Love your "simpler" cards! Thanks for playing with Just Us Girls!
