Cupcake, anyone?

Hello, I hope you had a super weekend! We had a barbecue yesterday, which was nice enough, but I still find myself adjusting to the new time zone, and thus I went to bed well before it got dark... mind you, Chuplet has been waking up at some ridiculous times in the morning, which is not helping me get enough sleep ;)

Anyhoo, I'm having a *sweet* project for you today, you can see the tutorial on how to make this cupcake on the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog.
I made this little gift set for my mum-in-law's birthday, and she loved it :)
I'm entering the project into PPA44 & The Shabby Tea Room Week #11 - "Dear to my Heart"

Hello from Europe!

I had an awfully long and exhausting trip (Chuplet decided that she doesn't sleep on the plane, and does some good ole' crying instead... imagine 2o+ hours of surviving this!), but we're finally in England, and fully recovered :)
I suppose it's time to share some recent DT work with you! Here we go...

Firstly, I've got an OCC sketch (OCCSC17) - last one for the time being, unfortunately... I didn't have time enough, to prepare any more. What a shame... :/

Right-o! I'm sorry for a quick post, folks... We've got limited time to spend with my hubby's family, before we head over to Poland, so I don't want to sit in front of the compy foor too long, especially today. I'm so glad to have you visiting, I'll be back tomorrow with my card for the Curtain Call card! Have a lovely day...

In a rush...

Hi peeps! It's been a long day, and full of "adventures". You know, one of these days, that the more you have to do, the more obstacles you find on the way. After some time spent swearing over things not cooperating, we started (hubby & me) to think that objects around us have secretly signed a pact to stop us from leaving. Duh!
But! - we are now roughly packed, and we're leaving shortly after noon tomorrow! Considering that it's already (and again) 2.30 a.m., and there's no more appropriate time for me to be fast asleep, I'll better make this post quick...

Firstly a woot - or two, actually!
I'm happy beyond measure to have found my card being featured in Embellish Magazine again! This time it's for the Embellish Dimension Color Challenge. Also, I made it to the Top Five at CAS-Tastic Wednesday, with my one-layer card! Me so happy :D

Now, I'd like to share with you my sample for this week's Color Dare (CD68 - Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede, Crushed Curry & Old Olive). I'm giving FTTC68 another go with this one (the challenge is about making our own flowers)

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill, Bazzill; paper: DCWV, Basic Grey; stamps: Papertrey Ink (Turning A New Leaf), Flourishes (Taglines); ink: StazOn (Olive); ribbon: Totally Twill Moss Green; border punch: Fiskars

I also made two very quick cards this evening, and I have to apologize for the quality of the photos... all of the sudden, Corel decided that it throws a fit, and you don't want to know what strange routes these had, on the way from the camera to here :P
You may also notice, that they're both in similar & not too "chupish" style. It was not planned, neither I knew that I'm feeling "woodsy" tonight. They just happened like this. lol

Here's one for SC282 and CWC005 - A Touch Of Green.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: SEI, hand-made paper (The Watermark Paper Mill); stamps: Penny Black; ink: ColorBox (Copper); burlap: Sullivans; Cuttlebug & a new embossing folder that I don't know the name of (lol); white gel pen; other: string

...and on the card below I used Kazan's sketch 53 & cQc #34. I'm continuing torturing my old trousers...

Photobucket Photobucket

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; stamp: Prima (flourish only); ink: Versa Color (Umber, Bark), StazOn (Timber Brown); brown marker; a stripe of denim; ribbon: 1.5 Inch Green Gingham; pearls: Kaisercraft; string: Papertrey Ink; other: button, synthetic leaves, flowers & grasses

These are going to be my last non-DT challenge uploads in the next six weeks... unless some of my already prepared samples happen to meet the criteria o_0 I'll miss them a lot, that's for sure...
Alright folks, wish us smooth sails, and that Chuplet won't scream all the way to England! I'm so looking forward to spending over 24 hours, with the three of us confined to the passenger seats... *rolls eyes*
I'll do my best to share some fresh photos with you along the way.
Thanks for visiting! {{hugs}}

Simple means quicker

...which is definitely a big plus tonight. Although I'm writing this post far too late again (2.30 AM), and I really shouldn't. There's ton of stuff to take care of tomorrow, and it looks like I'll be absent-minded for at least half of it *rolls eyes* Isn't it always the same story with addictions... how they take over your life (not that I'm complaining... lol)

Before I get to the merit, I wanted to share wonderful news, that I kept forgetting to mention. Yours truly's card is going to be published in the next Embellish magazine! Can I have a big yay?!? :D
I totally forgot that I even submitted, and I had to dig through my cards to find it. I'm glad it was still there, and in one piece... now I can only wait, and it's going to be a long waiting :/

Enough of the blabber though, as I just had the impression that my bed is calling me ever so kindly. I rarely resist that call :P
What I played with tonight? Firstly, OCC sketch challenge. What a lovely sketch. I received this gorjuss girl in the mail today, and I just had to ink it up.

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: Kaisercraft (except from the yellow polka dot - I don't know about this one, unfortunately), digital (paper pieced coat only); stamp: Sugar Nellie (girl), Hero arts (sentiment); inks: various from ColorBox, Versa Color; ribbon: Sheer Iridescent Peach Organza; other: button, twine, brads

Next is FTL91, FTTC68 (make your own flower) & Moxie Fab World Fun With Fabric challenge (in joyous continuation of destroying my old pair of jeans, I cut some leaves and a shabby tag)

Photobucket

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: Three Bugs In A Rug; stamp: Flourishes (Taglines); ink: ColorBox (Black); ribbon: Flourishes; other: trim, denim, staples

I used MTSC75 with CC272: Real Bermuda Krafts & The Shabby Tea Room Week #11 "Polka Dot Tea Party". Please excuse me for not having been able to stay true to any sketch tonight...

Photobucket

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: October Afternoon, Artarama; stamp: Gina K. Designs (Lovely Shelf by Nina Brackett); ink: ColorBox (Black); pearls: Kaisercraft; black pen; sewing machine; border punch: Fiskars; other: string, trim

Lastly, here goes CAS68 - Think Summer, GS #39 & TSG56 - On The Edge.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill, Stampin' Up!; paper: October Afternoon, Artarama; stamp: Flourishes; ink: StazOn (Jet Black), Versa Color (Umber, Olive), Vivid! (Yellow), Kaleidacolor (Cappuccino); border punch: EK Success; sewing machine

Right-o... bed - I'm coming to you! :D
Thanks so much for paying me a visit! I might find a little time tomorrow to make a card or two extra, but don't quote me on this. There are far more important things than my sweet addiction, one day before the big trip *snort*

Fun it is!

Oh I loved the idea of leisurely catching up with some of my favourite stuff, yesterday evening! I'm planning on "ticking" a few more challenges, before we leave. After all I'm leaving my "babies" for several weeks, and as much as I was trying to accustom myself to this fact, it still seems a bit frightening (please don't laugh, th's a serious matter :P)
I love me some daily creating, you know it best... I seriously hope that my mojo won't bid farewell for good after the break!
But! I'm not here to ramble (too much) Here's the stuff...

I made one for VLVMay2010 Week 4. I inked my first MFT stamp, yahoo! I was seeing these cuties being paper-pieced all over the web, so finally I just had to give up and get one for myself. No regrets. What FUN!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: Basic Grey (Green At Heart collection); stamp: MFT; ink: various from ColorBox, Versa Color; decorative chalks: Pebbles; white gel pen; glitter: Reeves; bling: Kaisercraft; other: ric-rac ribbon, staples

Also played with FS172, with NCSUnikki being a Featured Stamper. I CASE'd this fun card of her.

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: Kaisercraft (Fun In The Sun collection); stamp: Kaisercraft; ink: various from ColorBox, Versa Color; sewing machine; glitter: Reeves; sentiment sticker: SRM Stickers; other: buttons, twine

...and MOJO140. I changed the layout from vertical to horizontal, and did some more minor " *cough* adjustments... I bet you can still see the sketch there, riiight? :P
The lemon branch was paper pieced too, perhaps it's not too apparent because I chose DP with even colours.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: Kaisercraft (Devonshire collection); stamp: Flourishes; ink: Versa Color (bark); white watercolour pencil: Belgrave; lace trim: May Arts; ephemera, sentiment: Collections; other: button, string

Alright, I'm back to do some more creating, before my other commitments take over :) I'll see you soon...

The Pink Elephant, and some vintage

Hello girls, hope you're doing fine :)
We have just started packing up for the trip! ...and I let out a huge sigh of relief earlier today, for I'm done with my 6 weeks' worth projects... Whew! Let me tell you, the pressure was there with me all the time, that I won't make it. Now I can hopefully relax a bit this evening (as much as one can relax in the middle of pre-journey rush), and perhaps even catch up on a few of my favourite challenges. Again... wheeeew! haha

Anyhoo, I'm here for a reason, and obviously it is my good ole' card making stuff *wink*
This week marks my last challenge with The Pink Elephant as a Guest Designer (TPE68). The theme is orange, and we were asked to use it as a focal point. We also had a pleasure to work with some adorable images from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.
Now, I must admit that my sample is far from meeting my standards or expectations... there are times, unfortunately, that I just can't pull out a decent card, and that was just the said moment. In any other circumstances I'd give it another go later, but I didn't quite have a chance this time...

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: digital; image: Digital Delights by Louby Loo; ink: various from Versa Color, ColorBox; ribbon: Craft Affair; glitter: Reeves; dimensional medium: Glossy Accents by Ranger; sentiment sticker: SRM Stickers; brown marker; other: button, twine

It's also time for my weekly project for Really Reasonable Ribbon, and I'm continuing with a vintage look... I saw a beautiful card in one of the card making magazines a while ago, that was using organza ribbon. I had a light bulb moment, realizing how nicely organza coordinates with the shabby style. You can find this gorgeous Aqua Blue organza right here in the Really Reasonable Ribbon store. I'm also using one of the beautiful White Pearl Vintage Brads (available here), to embellish my bow. I backed it with three off-white paper flowers, that I sponged with ink.
The frame is made from chipboard, that I glittered with some chunky silver glitter. Bling goes so well with vintage, doesn't it? Because of the frame, I'm entering my card into FTTC67.

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: October Afternoon, American Crafts, page from an old book; vintage butterfly image; ink: Ranger Distress Ink (Pumice Stone); ribbon: Aqua Blue Organza; glitter: Celebrations of Australia; White Pearl Vintage Brad; chipboard frame: Collections; letter stickers: Carolee's Creations; pearls: Kaisercraft; other: paper flowers, paper doily

Thanks for visiting, as always! Now I'm off to relax :D

Two sketches

Just a little update on my DT & GD work, and another quick post... it's been a crazy Saturday, and my brain is soo dead... We spent the day, shopping around for gifts for our families in GB & Poland. I'm so happy with what we brought home! There are these heart-melting Willow Tree figurines, that I fell in love with the very moment I saw them a few months back. I knew that one of these will be the perfect gift for my parents. I got them this beauty, and this little angel for my very special aunt. Aren't they just precious?

I'd like to share a little woot too - I received a little shout-out with my "berry" card in today's challenge gallery in the Cards blog. Yippeee! I love all the inspiration there, every week the place is brimming with talent... go see for yourself!

Now, it's time for another fun Card Paterns sketch - are you ready? We've got PaperWorks Co.
sponsoring us this week! They are offering this VERY generous prize to one random participant, 4 stamp sets from the Rachelle Anne Miller collection, valued at $27.75!
Click the sketch to go over to Card Patterns, and see what the rest of the girls did with the sketch and sponsor's images. You can link up your creation there too.

CAS-tastic

Hullo! I've got another quick post for you - I'm rather dead already, at this time of night, but I wanted to share these with you first.
I wanted to take part in a couple of current challenges, especially that I found two new sites that looked irresistible (I know I shouldn't really add anything to my challenge list at this stage, but my will is aparently not strong enough, lol)

So, there is a new great color challenge over at Embellish Magazine - and it's with butterflies. Yeah! I never miss the chance to pull out my favourite butterfly stamp :)

Photobucket

I sprayed the butterflies with silver Glimmer Mist - the photo doesn't do it justice, but they shimmer quite nicely.

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill, SEI; stamps: Grace Taylor (butterfly), There She Goes (sentiment); ink: ColorBox (Black); Silver Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels; other: grosgrain ribbon, brads

Now, the new challenge that I found is hosted by CAS-tastic Challenges, and it's about a one-layer card (CWC004). Another one, A Passion for Papertrey, is challenging us to use your favourite colour. I LOVE aqua & teal, but find myself not using these often enough. At least in a non-DP form *wink* Lastly, there's a yummy Free for All this week: F4A13 - Buttons & Bows. Here's what i've done with these:

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill, Artarama; stamps: Papertrey Ink (Dot Spot, Blooming Button Bits); ink: VersaMark, ColorBox (Black); white embossing powder; grosgrain ribbon: Stampin' Up!; pearls: Kaisercraft; other: assorted buttons

Lastly, there's CAS67 - Shabby Chic & CCEE1020 - create a baby card. This card is not true CAS, I'm afraid... but it's still pretty simplified, comparing to most of my creations :)

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill, DCWV; stamps: Hero Arts (background); Fiskars (rocking horse); ink: Vivid! (Sky Blue), Versa Color (Umber); watercolour pencils: Belgrave; blender pen; ribbon: Sullivans; rub-on: Wendy Irving; string: Papertrey Ink; other: button

Thank you for paying me a visit tonight! I hope you enjoyed your time... {{hugs}}
