All stamped!

Hi folks, I'm happy to present you with my card for the Really Reasonable Ribbon today :)
It's quite unusual, for I used no designer paper whatsoever. It's all stamped... something that I do only occasionally, and mostly with CAS cards. This time I wanted to challenge myself. How do you think I managed? Check it out:

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; stamps: Papertrey Ink (Polka Dot Basics), Hero Arts (sentiment, damask), Tim Holtz (flower, bird) ; ink: ColorBox (Black, Vivid! (Brick), Grant (Blue); black & white gel pen; ribbon: Green/White Multi-Stripe Grosgrain; slide: Collections; other: button, twine

I used some beautiful Green/White Multi-Stripe Grosgrain, as an accent on the card. You can find it in the Really Reasonable Ribbon store at 25% OFF, only $2 per 5-yard piece!

I used a PPA48 sketch, rotated on the side to suit my idea:

Remember, that you've got until June 30th to play along in our second challenge, which is to use ribbon as a border!
Thank you for visiting, hope you have a fine start of the week! {{hugs}}

Very summery

Hi girls, I'm glad to see you here today! Are you ready to jumpstart another week with Curtain Call Color Challenge: {ACT 36}?
These colours just scream summer, and Stacey couldn't have possibly chosen a more appropriate inspiration photo for this time of year (I'm sorry, fellow Aussies, while I pitilessly enjoy the second summer this year... hehe)
Check them out:

Photobucket

Here's my interpretation... frankly, I should use strawberries instead of cherries (we've been stuffing our bellies with these obscenely in the last weeks)

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill, Bazzill; paper: October Afternoon, Cosmo Cricket (cherries only); stamp: Stampin' Up! (Season Of Friendship); ink: Versa Color (Umber), ColorBox (Blue Iris); dimensional medium: Glossy Accents by Ranger; ribbon: Kaisercraft; string: Papertrey Ink; other: button

The rest of the Curtain Call Crew has samples to show you today, too, so make sure you stop by to see:

A farewell sketch...

Hello, hello! I'm glad to be back, after quite a few days of being MIA. So much happened in the last week, that I wouldn't know where to begin, and traditionally, I'm not having too much time on my hands, so I'll stick to the absolute minimum in this post, I'm afraid...
I hope to be more elaborate, once back in Oz, but frankly - I doubt Zuzia will let me do too much! I'm sure she will be walking very soon, she's more than ready, by the looks of it :)

This week marks the end of my term as a Card Patterns Designer. I can't believe how quickly the time passed! I can't begin to tell what pleasure and honour it's been, to be a part of such talented Design Team. I will miss this time greatly. Thank you, girls, you're the best!
This week's fabulous sketch is again sponsored by Gina K Designs.
A delicious stamp set called Fine Furnishings & designed by our very own Nina Brackett, available at Gina K Designs, will go to one random participant this week.
Yippee!

I'm glad to have my colours corresponding with PDCC35 :)

Photobucket

Well, that's about all ... I've got to hurry up and schedule a post or two now, and then I'm all up for a cuppa and a nice talk with my hubby's family, who's place we just raided today *wink* Thank you for visiting! xxx

Chocolate ruffles

Hooray, I can't believe I've been blogging for four days in a row! Pretty satisfying, considering that I haven't made a card in a full month's time. Let's say I'm surviving without my passion (and addiction, yes)... lol, although I catch myself thinking about it more often lately. I'll have a lot to catch up with, when we come back home!

Today I'm bringing you my Monday project for Really Reasonable Ribbon. Once again I reached for ruffles - the technique that adds dimension to the project, like nothing else.
I used some beautiful Sheer Square Print in Pink & Brown, and finished it off with a bow made out of a Brown Wrinkled Ribbon.

PhotobucketAlign Center

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: SEI; stamp: Papertrey Ink (Turning A New Leaf); ink: ColorBox (Bronze); pearls: Kaisercraft; ribbon: Brown Wrinkled Ribbon, Sheer Square Print Pink/Brown; string: Papertrey Ink; other: buttons

I'm glad whenever my card, prepared beforehand, matches on of the existing challenges. This time it's two different ones that meet the criteria. Woohoo!
One of them is JUGS38 - Color Challenge, and the other - A Passion For Papertrey's One Layer Challenge. This is certainly the most bulky one-layer card that I've ever made!

Thank you so much for visiting my lil' crafty nook,
hope your week starts with a blast :)

Three-dimensional pot

Good morning my friends! Are you ready for another Curtain Call? You better do, 'cause the colours are - yet again- divine! See for yourselves:

PhotobucketAlign Center

See, I told ya'! :D
I heard some saying that blue & green should not be seen (together), but there's no truth to this whatsoever. This is one of the nicest colour combinations, don't you think?
I hope you like my interpretation. I've been playing a lot with my 3-dimensional medium lately, I like the pizazz that it adds to the paper. The uneven layer of glaze hat I applied to the pot, made it look more convincing. The effect is yum-o!

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill, Stampin' Up!; paper: DCWV, digital; stamp: Stampin' Up! (Bloomin' With Beauty), Flourishes (Taglines); ink: various from ColorBox, Versa Color; border punch: Kaisercraft; rhinestones: Kaisercraft; sewing machine; dimensional medium: Glossy Accents by Ranger; ribbon: Swiss Dots Grosgrain Moss Olive

For a baby

Hullo girls, and welcome to another week at Card Patterns!
We're being sponsored by the Stamping Boutique, and we had the opportunity to work with some of their cute digis - SO fun!
The Stamping Boutique is so generous that they will give away 5 digital stamp images or 3 rubber stamps of our randomly picked winner's choice!

Here's this week's sketch - I'm sure you'll love it, and so will your leftover scraps of paper! :)

Photobucket

I fell in love with this lovely Noah's Ark, and made a baby card:

CP sketch 69

Supplies: cardstock: Quill, DCWV; paper: DCWV; image: The Stamping Boutique (digital); inks: assorted from Versa Color, ColorBox, Vivid!; glitter: Reeves; dimensional medium: Glossy Accents by Ranger; sentiment sticker: SRM Stickers; decorative scissors: Birch Craft; sewing machine; other: organza ribbon

I'm giving it a go at F4A17 - Man's Best Friend. Some might argue about sharks being man's best friends, but this one looks perfectly harmless, heheh.
Thanks so much for visiting, have a loveliest weekend ahead! xxx

An update on our trip :)

As promised, here I am with a little photo update from the last two weeks in Poland. Only briefly explained though, I'm afraid... I hope they'll speak for themselves, 'cause yours truly should go back to the folks, and spend some more time with them, before we head to our beds :)
Firstly, here's a few of my one and only, precious Chuplet... isn't she a peach?? *insert the proud mommy face here*

Photobucket

Photobucket

One of the places that we saw so far, is my all-time favourite - Książ castle in Silesia, only half an hour away from where my parents live. I've been there so many times in the past, that I lost the count... It was so great to see it yet again!

Photobucket

Photobucket

It's surrounded by picturesque parterre gardens like this:

Photobucket

Here's me & Chuplet in one of the gardens:

Photobucket

We'd also spend time, walking the streets of some of the health resorts in Poland - I love the atmosphere there. They're nice little towns, where time seems to run slower, and people look happier.

Photobucket

Photobucket

And finally, here's me in a botanic garden in Wojsławice - a place very close to my heart, 'cause I used to have workshops there, while studying Landscape Architecture in Uni :)

Thanks for checking them up, I hope you enjoyed your time! I'll see you tomorrow {hugs}

Better late than never

Hi there! I admit that it hurts to see this place neglected so badly, after months of blogging on the daily basis, and almost mass-producing cards at the same time *wink* On the other hand, we're having so much fun in Europe, and we're catching up on the precious time with the family.
It's been madness here, and I hardly ever find time to write up a post. Zuzia is like a tornado - having discovered how to crawl, she's all over the place! I can't believe how much she changed, since we left Australia. She's developing so rapidly, and watching her is a delight.
We must have taken a few hundreds photos so far. Duh! I promise that I'll share some very soon :)

But! On to the business. I've got my Color Dare card for you (CD69 - Tempting Curry Bays)
You might wonder, why so late, and why not on Tuesday. Well, Riley's life has treated her very harshly lately, and we had to wait with the newest challenge for a couple of extra weeks. It's finally up though, and it's SUPER!
The colours are Tempting Turquoise, Crushed Curry & Bermuda Bay, and here's my contribution:

CD68

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: Nikki Silvis Scrapbooker (sofa cut-out only), October Afternoon; stamps: Papertrey Ink (Polka Dot Basics), Stampin' Up (Dots n' Daisies background), Grant (sentiment); ink: Vivid! (Yellow), Versa Color (Celadon); ColorBox (Black); ribbon: Aqua Satin; other: button, twine

I'm entering this card into WT275 Raving on Ribbon. It's no secret that I LUV me some ribbon!
Have a lovely day,

Focus on ribbon

I'm sorry it's going to be a very quick post, girls - I'm squeezing it in the tight schedule of my holidays... :)
It's Monday, and it means that it's time for my weekly Really Reasonable Ribbon project.
Here's what I whipped up, using the yummy striped ribbon, available in the Really Reasonable Ribbon store. Bold, graphic ribbon is perfect for playing the lead role on the card. How about some weaving?

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; sentiment sticker: SRM Stickers; ink: Versa Color (Pink); rhinestones: Top Line Creations; chipboard frame: Collections; extra thick white embossing powder (XTEE); ribbon: Pink Licorice Twist Stripe Grosgrain; other: button, twine

I covered a plain jane chipboard frame twice with an extra thick embossing powder, to achieve the smooth, glossy look.
I hope you like the effect! Have a goodie,

Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop

Hello, and welcome to our monthly Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop!
You should have come here from the RRR blog - if not, you'd want to hop over there and read about the details and the prize, that we've got in store for one lucky participant!!

For my project, I chose to highlight the cheerful selection of ribbon in the June Ribbon Club. Don't these luscious greens and yellows remind you of a summery meadow?

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill; paper: Basic Grey; stamp: Stampin' Up!; ink: ColorBox (Black); ribbon: from the June Ribbon Club

The flowers are made from the length of wired ribbon (5/8'' wired sheer yellow/lime square print), that's available exclusively through the Club. I pulled on the wire carefully from both ends, then bunched and formed the flower, and stitched the ribbon together. It's an easy way to make own effective flowers.

I used the FTL94 sketch for the card on the left (flipped on the side, and modified slightly).

Photobucket

Next in line is the talented Cassie Box. Happy hopping! xxx

In the midning hour

It's almost midnight, and I finally found some time to write a post. We're just finished with fiddling around with Zuzia, who didn't feel like sleeping, and I must admit that it lowered my mood a bit... Poor girl, she has to put up with so much going on around her, and with a lifestyle much more intense that she's used to - and she's only eight months! No wonder she feels anxious or blue at times...
She's finally asleep now, and I hope that's how it's going to stay until morning! *fingers crossed here*

Anyhoo, here's my portion of Curtain Call Color Challenge: {ACT 34} goodness for you.
The colours this week look impressive and stylish together, so I decided on a classic look:

Photobucket

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Quill, Stampin' Up!; paper: My Mind's Eye, Kaisercraft; stamp: Stampin' Up! (Happy Harmony, sentiment), Sullivans (damask); ink: Kaleidacolor (Cappuccino), Versa Color (Sky Gray); decorative scissors: Birch Craft; ribbon: Sullivans; vellum: Grant; Cuttlebug & Swiss Dots embossing folder; pearls: Kaisercraft

I'm happy that my card fits the current Mercy's sketch (MTSC77) :)

Photobucket

The rest of the Curtain Call Crew has samples to show you today, too, so make sure you stop by to see:

and June Guest Designer, Christina MacLaren, at Seaglass & Sentiments
...then play along with us and post your Curtain Call Color Challenge: Act 33 creation using Mr. Linky at Stacey's Stamping Stage!

Thank you for visiting! I'll be still MIA for most of the time (four days of intense sightseeing ahead), but I'll try to stick around whenever possible.
Love ya'! {{mwah}}

Card Patterns sketch 68

Hi folks, I'm sorry for being MIA! I know I promised to put some more photos from our trip yesterday, but it's simply too busy around. Yesterday, my hubby's parents came to Poland, and it's their first time here. I'll do my best to make the week that we all spend together here, extra special :D
I also hope to get around these photos very soon...

In the meantime *wink*, I've got my card for the newest Card Patterns sketch for you.
We're thrilled to be sponsored by Gina K Designs again this week! GinaK Designs is offering up a wonderful prize pack to one random participant.

Chuplet the globetrotter

It's so quiet in this place lately (oh how I WISH I could make just one little card!!), so I thought I'd share a couple of photos of Zuzia, taken in England and Poland. I meant to get to it earlier, but we're being busy, busy, BUSY!
We would go out on the trip pretty much every day, and we just came back from one of them. I feel dead and sore (both me & Zuzia caught cold the other day), but very happy.
Her, despite feeling sore too, is doing more than great, keeping the smile on her face! What a darling little bug I've got :)

Photobucket

This one's taken on the way to one of the castle ruins in Derbyshire, that England would be dotted with. What an incredibly beautiful country it is, I wouldn't mind living there at all... to own a little brick house in the country like this, would certaily be a tempting option to me, even for the prize of abandoning the land of Oz :)

Photobucket

Here she is with her "new" grandma, who loves her to pieces!

Photobucket

She made a big progress with mobility, since we left, and it's been only two weeks! She's almost crawling (or should I say, she slithers ;)), and she walks (awkwardly but happily) when supported. Yippee!!

Photobucket

I'll try to come back with a little update tomorrow, and perhaps give you a non-Chuplet photo or two... until then!
