Something old, something new...

Happy Tuesday, crafty peeps! Ready for another installment from Chupa?
The theme of The Shabby Tea Room's challenge this week (TSTR25) is "Old Meets New", and it gave me a jumpstart on this one:

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Papertrey Ink (Peach Parfait); paper: Basic Grey (Green At Heart); stamp: Papertrey Ink (Turning A New Leaf, Mega Mixed Messages), Hero Arts; ink: Versa Color (Green Tea, Cinnamon), ColorBox (Black); decorative chalks: Pebbles; black pen; border punch: EK Success; twill ribbon available here; crocheted flower from PixiePetals; button; string: Papertrey Ink; corrugated cardboard; sewing machine

I used several new things: corrugated cardboard that I picked at Paperific on Sturday; and some PTI stuff that came in happy mail a couple of days ago. The rest is my oldies but goldies *wink*

I used that cardboard piece, to suit the TLC288 ~ Recycled Cardboard Boxes challenge. You know how I like everything that adds dimension in a unique way, so this was right up my alley.
The sketch is SSSC83 - swoon!

Pop of colour, and my second LO!

Hi there! I'm just quickly popping in, to show you the project that I prepared for Really Reasonable Ribbon this week.
It's the second time that I tried my luck in scrapbooking, and I must admit that I find it quite addictive already :)

I put together a step-by-step tutorial on the RRR blog, on how I created this page, so be sure to check it out if you're interested! You can find it HERE.

Sunday stamping spree

Good day to you, crafty friends! How has your weekend been so far? I had a wonderful, but very busy day. Chuplet has been doing her best to fill in our every minute, and I feel like a good night's sleep is what I'm really looking forward to! None the less, you know that some stamping was due tonight anyway, especially that my "to-do" challenges, if they only could, would form a neat pile on my desk already. I cranked up three cards.

First one is inspired by this card of BobbiesGirl, who's this week's Featured Stamper on SCS (FS186):

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Stampin' Up! (Purely Pomegranate); stamps: Penny Black (flowers, sentiment), Stampin' Up! (flourish); ink: Versa Color (Indigo); white gel pen; watercolour pencils: Belgrave; blender pen; paper piercer; golden cord; decorative chalks: Pebbles; butterfly punch: Martha Stewart

I found that the colours that I used, correspond with the current Play Date Cafe challenge (PDCC44). How nice :)

Photobucket

Next one is made for PPA57 (sketch - I turned it into a square, to better suit my needs), and OCC Color Challenge:

Photobucket

Supplies: paper: Cosmo Cricket; stamps: C.C. Designs, Hero Arts; ink: StazOn (Timber Brown); watercolour pencils: Belgrave; blender pen; Cuttlebug embossing folder (Herringbone); glitter: Reeves; decorative chalks: Pebbles

Photobucket Photobucket

Lastly, I made one for the beautiful FTL105 sketch. This is the first time that I used PTI Rustic White cardstock - bliss!

Photobucket

Supplies: paper: Papertrey Ink (Peach Parfait, Rustic White); stamps: Papertrey Ink; ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Pumice Stone), Papertrey Ink (Tea Dye Duo); watercolour pencils: Belgrave; blender pen; border punch: Martha Stewart; string: Papertrey Ink

Photobucket

You likey? I hope so! I'm sorry for this being so brief, I barely see any more, to be frank with you. I just didn't like the idea of waiting until morning, to share these with you.
I hope you'll have a wonderful time, in what's left of the weekend. TTYL!

Glittered up

Hi-ya friends! I forgot to share with you, that I've been to Paperific today (an Australian version of CHA), and of course I left it with some goodies! I snatched a couple of adorable stamps, that I will surely be playing with soon. After a few busy hours spent browsing, chatting and spending money (duh!) I came back home, wondering if I have any strength left for stamping. Apparently I did :)

The first card that I'd like to share, is a Holiday-themed project with not quite a classic holiday colour scheme... It illustrates perfectly how random my creative process is at times... As I'd often do, I chose the papers first, to suit the colour inspiration of ssnotime154, and let them dictate the rest. Only when I was finished with the paper part, I looked at the card and started thinking, how to interpret the circles in the TESC126 sketch that I chose to work with.
After some rummaging done in my stash of chippies, these snowflakes just looked too cute not to give them a try. As they say, the rest is history :)
I actually think that it's a charming card, and it makes me feel warm & cozy. How about you?

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: DCWV; paper: Kaisercraft; chipboard: Maya Road; letter stickers: Carolee's Creations; burlap & lace available here; ink: Papertrey Ink (Tea Dye Duo), Versa Color (Pinecone, Celadon); edge distresser; glitter: Reeves; Glossy Accents by Ranger

Yes, what you can see is me using burlap again... *rolls eyes* Seriously, guys, I can't get my hands off this stuff! I LOVE the texture & dimension that burlap adds to my cards! You'll see some more of it tomorrow :)
Also, I'm not sure whether you noticed how I made the snowflakes - after inking them up, I applied firstly some glitter, and then Glossy Accents. It's a truly wonderful effect.

Here are the sketch & photo inspiration used for the card:

Photobucket Photobucket

There's one more challenge that applies here... F4A27: Think Snow......Man!

I've got one more card, a nice & compact, clean & simple sumthin':

Photobucket

Supplies: paper: DCWV; stamps: Fiskars (boat); Papertrey Ink (sentiment); There She Goes (Clouds); black pen; glitter: Reeves; ink: StazOn (Jet Black); watercolour pencils: Belgrave; blender pen; decorative chalks: Pebbles

This one was inspired by this week's Tuesday Trigger. What an awesomely beautiful photo (and view)!

Photobucket

As you noticed, I decided on the water part to guide my design. I loved the airy, fresh look of the interior, and so I settled down for a CAS design. I simply tore some scraps of paper, to create the waves, and glittered the white parts with glitter, to make them glisten in the setting sun.

I found the colours very similar to cQc#47, too:

Photobucket

So, there you have it :) I feel like I did my share tonight, and I'll be glad to snuggle up in bed now, with a good book. Mmmmm... got to love weekends. I hope yours is just as good - see you soon! xxx

Happy mail day

Good evening, lovelies!
Today I received some PTI goodies, that I've been impatiently waiting for... yay!
I also got a wonderful JustRite stamp set, that I won by participating in the Dare To Get Dirty challenges at SCS, and yesterday came some lovely stuff from a local scrapbooking store, that I'll be previewing in September. Tomorrow I'm going to Paperific with my crafty pal Sue Kohler and her friend, and we're sure to stock up on some yumminess - not to mention having heaps of fun! Lastly, there are some incredible news, that I'll be sharing with you very soon!

LIFE IS GOOD.
*happy sigh*

So, would you like to see some new stuff? One of the PTI stamps sets that I received today, is Butterfly Dreams. I have seen it being used so many times in some amazing creations (take Niki Estes, for example, who's the artist behind this set), that as soon as I had it in my hands, you know I absolutely had to ink it up...

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Papertrey Ink (Spring Moss), American Crafts; stamps: Papertrey Ink (Butterfly Dreams, Turning A New Leaf); ink: Hero Arts (Soft Leaf); StazOn (Jet Black), Versa Color (White); Twinkling H2O's (purple); sewing machine; EZCut embossing folder (Polka Dots)

Did you notice how nicely the butterflies shimmer? It's Twinkling H2O's - great stuff, that I discovered very recently.

This card was created with Embellish Squares Color Challenge. It's another great one, and I love the prize!

Photobucket

I found a perfect sketch to accompany it - CCEE1034:

Photobucket

Lastly, I thought that since I'm celebrating the fact that I incorporated new PTI stuff (including never used before cardstock), I embossed the squares with polka dot pattern, to suit the Passion For Papertey's Polka Dots challenge. Hehe...

Ok, I better hit the bed now, to be ready for some fun tomorrow morning! Happy TGIF! xxx

Ohayou Gozaimasu = Good Morning

I left you yesterday with good night wishes in Japanese, so I thought it would be appropriate if I greeted you this morning in the same language :) My card for today is definitely not Japanese though. I love it to pieces. It turned out perfectly as a wanted it to - something that doesn't happen too often, lol!

Photobucket

Supplies: paper: Chatterbox; October Afternoon; stamps: Inkadinkado, Stampin' Up!; ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Frayed Burlap); sewing machine; ribbon: Stampin' Up!, My MKind's Eye; pearls: Kaisercraft; burlap

I made it for this week's Mojo sketch (MOJO153):

Photobucket

...and JAI32, which is to use some material. I've got two kinds of ribbon... not sure if burlap counts too!

Please bear in mind, that this post being my first one for today, it still counts as yesterday for most of you, which would suggest that it's the fifth one. Yeah baby, Chupa's on a roll! haha
I hope you enjoyed, thanks for taking a peek!
Photobucket

Oyasuminasai = Good night

Before I say good night (in English), let me give you one more card - with a little Japanese cutie. It's the fourth card today. Yep! Please scroll down if you'd like to see the rest!

I'm very pleased with this one... I put a lot of heart and work into it :)

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Stampin' Up!; paper: Bo Bunny, October Afternoon; stamps: Hero Arts; ink: StazOn (Jet Black); Versa Color (Green Tea, Fresh Green, Cyan); watercolour pencils: Belgrave; blender pen; letter stickers: Fynmark; grosgrain ribbon; sewing machine; EZCut Retro Diamonds embossing folder; black pen

I created this one with the current Mercy's sketch in mind (MTSC88):

Photobucket

Also, since I paper pieced again tonight, it goes to Simon Says Stamp current challenge :)

Okay, so that's definitely all for tonight! I truly hope that you like the bunch of projects that I shared with you today, and that perhaps I inspired someone towards creating. Thank you for visiting, happy stamping!

Released

Welcome to my third post for today, friends - whew! I'm far behind with my favvie challenges this week, and I'm doing my best to reduce this distance :) I'm planning on at least one more card tonight (before I collapse, that is), but I'm not sure whether I'll be able to share them immediately. The batteries in my camera died, and it takes ages for them to charge. Ugh...

Anyway, here's what I've got this time:

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: American Crafts, Artarama; paper: October Afternoon, Kaisercraft; Pink Paislee; stamps: We R Memory Keepers, Stampede; ink: ink: Versa Color (Pinecone, Sky Gray, Celadon); watercolour pencils: Belgrave; blender pen; paper piercer; rope available here; jewel rhinestones; border punch: Fiskars

What it was made for... SSS70 sketch:

Photobucket

...and cQc#47 colour inspiration - isn't it gorgeous??

Photobucket

I hope you like it! Sending hugs from my crafty nook...

Time for CASE Study!

Hi there, my friends! Would you like to jumpstart this fine day with a fantastic inspiration?
Head over to CASE Study, for we've got some for you!
We just launched our third challenge (CSC03), and there's a brand new card by Makiko Jones (our muse for August), serving as an inspiration piece:

Photobucket

I chose this one for its undeniable beauty and perfect execution. I love the dimension that the flowers give to an otherwise simple design, and I also wanted to challenge myself to using purple. As many of you, I'm having a hard time working with it - especially when it's paired with blue. That's what I think is wonderful in our challenges - they give me a chance to learn & stretch, while still doing "my thing" ;)

Here is my card... I drifted towards shabby, but kept the lovely, pastel colours, and of course added a flower. This little beauty is hand made by Aesa Lina, and owner of PixiePetals on Etsy, and one of our generous sponsors! You do want to check her store - I promise you that you'll ooh and aah a lot :)

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: American Crafts; paper: American Crafts (Dear Lizzy); stamp: Stampin' Up! (Happy Harmony); ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Frayed Burlap); pearls: Kaisercraft; edge distresser: Heidi Swapp; burlap; grosgrain ribbon; lace trim; pearl brad; fabric flower

I'm entering the card into FTTC81, which is to use lace. Mmmmmm.... lace.... easy peasy!

Ugh! What a day...

It's been one of these days, when in the end you don't remember what your name is any more... Mind you, I can't say that it was an unpleasant day - quite contrary! I just had so much to do, that I couldn't even think about creating anything. All in all, I think it did me good. You know that with my everyday stamping, mojo sometimes simply needs a little rest - and I think mine does now :)
(until tomorrow, that is!)
Don't assume that I don't have anything new for you, then! I most certainly do :) In late evening I sat down and tried to get creative. They're not bad, the two new cards - I just think that they were created sort of mechanically. Perhaps I didn't enjoy it as much as I usually do...

The first card just for the SC295 sketch:

Photobucket

Supplies:cardstock: DCWV; paper: Basic Grey (Nook & Pantry); stamps: Basic Grey; ink: Versa Color (Pinecone), Papertrey Ink (Tea Dye Duo); watercolour pencils: Belgrave; blender pen; lace trim; satin ribbon; sewing machine; pearls: Kaisercraft

Here's the sketch:
Photobucket

...and another one for CPS181, Embellish Quirky-Cutesy-Clean Style, and A Passion For Papertrey's Polka Dots challenge:

Photobucket

Supplies: paper: Basic Grey; stamps: Cosmo Cricket, October Afternoon; stamps: Papertrey Ink (polka dots), Hero Arts (bird); ink: Tim Holtz Distressing Ink (Frayed Burlap), Versa Color (Umber); watercolour pencils: Belgrave; blender pen; letter stickers: Carolee's Creations; baker's twine; buttons; sewing machine

Oh, and I almost forgot... check out my new badge :)

I need to go to sleep now... but I'll see you tomorrow! Thank you for visiting! xxx
