CAS-tastic Sunday

Happy Halloween, peeps! It's been an exceptionally busy weekend, so please forgive me for not being overly chatty tonight... Let me just tell you that I had a wonderful time at the workshop yesterday! It hasn't been all smooth and easy, but I should call it my personal success none the less :)
I'm having another workshop coming in two weeks, and I'm already looking forward to it!

After I finally found some time for myself this afternoon, I knew that no matter what, I've got to try and compensate the lack of time this week and create some cards for the challenges. There are quite a few challenges that I tried to squeeze into my creations, for what I too apologize - I find it hard to let any of them go :)
Here's the first one - I finally inked up one of my new Kraftin' Kimmies. They're so stinkin' cute! Only my colouring is not quite up my standards, unfortunately... Copics don't like the paper that I stamped on. I decided that it will have to do - I'm being lazy ;)

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Stampin' Up! (So Saffron); paper: October Afternoon; stamp: Kraftin' Kimmie, Studio G; ink: Versafine (Onyx Black); Copic markers; paper piercer; grosgrain ribbon

I combined Card Patterns sketch 88, Inkspirations Colour Challenge #46, CAS90 - Gingham and Checks, ssnotime163 - T'is the Season for Clean and Simple, and F4A36 - Rummage and Scavenging Practice on this card. I don't remember combining so many of them on one card for a very long time...

Photobucket Photobucket

Next card, almost one-layer... it's even more rare to see me creating a card like this, but I really like it :)

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Canson; stamps: Papertrey Ink (Butterfly Dreams); ink: Kaleidacolor (Cappuccino); orange marker

Here the sketch belongs to FTL114, the colours to Stacey's Curtain Call 54 (I swear there ARE three different inks used on the card, and the difference can be seen IRL, it's the camera that decided to play on my nerves!). I also decided to enter this card into JAI41 - Just Add Birthdays, and Scrapbook Boutique's new challenge, which is to use at least 2 butterflies.

Photobucket Photobucket

Lastly, here's this number:

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: American Crafts; stamps: Flourishes; ink: Versafine (Onyx Black); Copic markers; paper piercer; half pearls

This one is made for FS195. Cheryl is a Featured Artist, and I CASE'd this card of her. My card also qualifies for FTTC90 - anything goes but buttons and bows. It's not as hard as it seems, lol.

Whew! I hope I didn't bore you out completely, huh? :) Thank you for spending your precious time with me! I'll have to call it a day tonight, but you can expect me back some time tomorrow. Inky hugs,

Button wreath

Hello, hello! It's Saturday morning here, and I'm getting ready for my workshop! I was planning to give you some more stuff yesterday, but run out of time. I did make one card, though, that I decided that I quickly share with you. It's a 'lazy' card, but it's still charming, IMHO :)

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: American Crafts, Canson; paper: October Afternoon; stamps: Papertrey Ink (Turning A New Leaf, Mega Mixed Messages); ink: ColorBox (Deep Green); satin ribbon: Sullivans; buttons; cotton twine

It's made for the beautiful colours of cQc#56, and CCEE1043, which is to make a CAS card.

Thanks for looking! xxx

ABS sketch

Happy TGIF, friends! Who's ready for weekend? I'm not, just yet, with so much that I've got to prepare for Saturday :) I've got Zuzia's little girlfriend's birthday party in the morning, then my first card-making workshop (keep your fingers crossed for Chupa!!), and a dinner with Sue and her wonderul family later. Sounds like a day full to the brim, huh? :)

Before all this happens, though, I'd ilke to share with you the details of the brand new Annabelle Stamps challenge, and my sample of course! It's the end of the month, so we've got a sketch challenge (ABSC031). The dessert option is to use bling! Mmmm....

Photobucket

I used one of my absolute favourite Annabelle Stamps sets on my card - Ballerina Rose. The rose is coloured with Twinkling H2O's, but it would be too hard to get a good photo of it...

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Stampin' Up! (River Rock); paper: Jillibean Soup; stamps: Annabelle Stamps (Ballerina Rose); ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Pumice Stone, Frayed Burlap); Twinkling H2O's; paper piercer; string; pearls: Kaisercraft

The inspiration for the colours came from this Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger "Sweater Weather" (oh how 'moxie fab' it is indeed!!):

Photobucket

I hope that you'll take some time this week to participate in this ABS challenge. By doing so, you're in the running for a juicy $20 gift certificate to the store! Just make a project with the given sketch and some bling, and hop over to the ABS blog to link it up. You've got a FULL MONTH to play, so you can combine this sketch with any of the other challenges that come up during November!
Thank you for looking, I hope to pop in again later today. Have a lovely day!

More stuff!

Hello lovelies, what a busy day for Chupa, huh? :) I'm far behind with 'my' challenges this week (funny, 'cuz I seem to work twice as much, lol), and I knew that I have to play with some of them, before I move on to another project.
I REALLY like both cards, and I hope you'll like them too!

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Papertrey Ink (Enchanted Evening); paper: Kaisercraft, Three Bugs In A Rug; stamps: There She Goes (Dance); ink: ColorBox (Blue Iris), Versa Magic (Spanish Olive); watercolour pencils: Belgrave; blender pen; grosgrain ribbon: Sullivans; brads; paper piercer

My first card is for Mercy's sketch (MTSC97), with the colours of CD82 - Night of Delightful Olives (what a fine title!)

Photobucket

And another one...

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Papertrey Ink (Aqua Mist), recycled kraft; paper: October Afternoon, American Crafts (label); stamps: Papertrey Ink (Butterfly Dreams); ink: Versa Magic (Orchid), Versafine (Onyx Black); satin ribbon; string; button

This one follows Waltzingmouse sketch #20 (WMSC20), and the colours of CC294: Breezy Blushing Cake. I love these colours together! They remind me so much of Cindy...

Thank you for checking my li'l blog again! You must have a lot of patience with me bugging you constantly... haha!
I'll see you around! xxx

CASE Study Challenge #12

If you're looking for the TSG Snowy Days Blog Hop Challenge, please click HERE or scroll down. Thank you!

Happy Thursday, crafty peeps! I hope you're ready for another CASE Study Challenge (CSC12), because we've got a truly fabulous card from Barbara Anders to get you inspired! Take a look:

I remember CASEing it once or twice before (quite literally), so this time I decided on a different layout. I chose to have a dry embossed background, although instead of sponging the raised pattern, I used a Faux Letterpress technique. I've also got some gingham ribbon (do you recognize this one, Sue? lol)

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Canson; stamps: TPC Studio; ink: ColorBox (Brick, Ice Jade); QuicKutz embossing folder (Polka dots); glitter : Reeves; gingham wired ribbon; gingham ruffled ribbon; white gel pen; string; buttons

The sketch is Laura's, and the colours come from CTD116:

TSG Gobble, In Stitches Blog Hop Challenge

Hello and welcome another There She Goes Blog Hop for November!
Have you come here from Corinna's blog? If so - great, but otherwise you can start from the beginning on the TSG blog.

Today the Trendsetters are showing you two new, cute & whimsical stamp sets!

Just in the time for Thanksgiving! Torico has illustrated this fun and adorable Turkey that has a lot to say ;) Not only can he hold a sign designed to say 7 different sayings but he also has his glass and fork ready just in time for the big dinner.

Photobucket

Gobble is a 3x4 stamp set that includes a total of 13 of stamps and will sell for $7.

One of the biggest trends in stamping right now is using a sewing machine to stitch directly onto your hand stamped cards. While this technique gives a very detailed look, it can be a little frustrating trying to master! No worries, TSG is here with a quick and easy way to get that stitched look you love! This mini set not only has some beautiful silhouette border images but it also includes two styles of stitching that will give you that stitched look you are after.

Photobucket

In Stitches is a 2x6 stamp set that includes a total of 7 of stamps and will sell for $7.

Unfortunately, I'm not having the sample for the "In Stitches" set for you today (my happy mail hasn't arrived yet, and it's not a good set to be previewed in the digital form...), but here's the adorable turkey for ya'!

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: American Crafts; paper: Cosmo Cricket; stamps: There She Goes (Gobble); ink: Versa Color (Celadon); Copic markers; sewing machine; border punch: Fiskars; string; buttons

My layout is based on SSSC90, again - quite freely... I don't know why somehow I can't seem to stick to the sketches properly lately...

Photobucket

Would you like a chance to win the Gobble! / In Stitches stamp sets? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Gobble! / In Stitches Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post.
