Here's a little card for you...
Supplies: cardstock: white; paper: Fancy Pants Designs, Basic Grey; stamps: PTI (Mat Stack 1 Collection - with a coordinating die), Technique Tuesday; ink: PTI (Fresh Snow), Memento (Sweet Plum); edge distresser; seam binding; paper flowers; buttons; sewing machine; Washi tape; gem (star); lace; glitter glue: Reeves; pearls: Scrapbooking Bitz
I'm SO very happy that I can do vintage. For months I would have drooled over some ladies' work, and trying, trying, trying... and now that I seem to know the deal a little bit, I caught the bug. It's probably because of my love for texture and movement - I just can't have a flat card. I do make these sometimes, and even like the results, but them I go nah... and make another card with a ton of foam tape and embellishments. LOL
Anyhoo, here's what I created this one for :)
The sketch is WMSC39, and the colours come from CR84FN20.
I also followed the TSTR54 challenge, with the "Bingo" chart. The task is to use any three in a row, and I've got either Glitter/Gems/Ribbon or Glitter/Flowers/Buttons. On top of this, I've also got Lace & a Die Cut :)
Lastly, a madly talented Joy is having a fun challenge on her blog, where she asks to make a project honouring someone who inspires.
Since this post as all about my road to *cough* mastering *cough* vintage & shabby, then it was more than right to pay tribute with this card, to the ladies, whose work has been a constant inspiration for me: Mona & Melissa. They taught me everything I should know :)
(uh... yes, implementing the knowledge is a totally different matter...)
If you haven't yet been to any of these, I encourage you to do so... you will be smitten!
As always, thank you for coming... and make sure you'll join me and the rest of the Trendsetters for the soon to be launched Blog Hop challenge!
