With deepest sympathies

I normally don't make sympathy cards, and I'm fortunate enough, not having have to make any with a recipient in mind. As i was making the card below, this beautiful sentiment from Layers Of Color seemed very fitting, though. I guess it's good to have a card like this in stash, just in case.

Supplies: cardstock: American Crafts (grey), white; paper: Prima; stamps: Hero Arts (doily), PTI (Mat Stack 1 collection - with die), Layers Of Color (sentiment); ink: Memento (Summer Sky, London Fog), Distress Ink (Frayed Burlap); paper doily: Martha Stewart; sewing machine; seam binding; buttons; string: AnnaBelle Stamps

I used the Card Pattens sketch 108, which I paired with the colours of PDCC75, and the inspiration from Tuesday Trigger: Farm Fresh.

  2. I love the seam binding/twine bow, it's just the right embellishment without being too much for a sympathy card. I never would have thought orange could work for sympathy, but it totally does - beautiful card :)

  3. That is a very nice card with a subject that is hard to use. LOVE how it fits the Trigger and the sketch.
