I've been battling myself whether to post these two tonight (it's almost 2 am), or wait until tomorrow, but since there are two more posts coming then and I've got no write-up for neither of them yet, I decided on doing it straight away :)
There are a couple of great challenges at Flourishes at the moment, one being May's Bring Back Beautiful (BBB10) - The Beauty Of A Flower. I paired it with JAI67 sketch.
I like the look that I achieved on the daisies... I didn't blend the colours, which gave a crisper result.
Supplies: cardstock: PTI (Simply Chartreuse), white; paper: Scenic Route; stamps: Flourishes (Gerbera Daisies); ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black), Versa Color (Sage); Copics; grosgrain ribbon; pleated trim; Nestabilities Labels 14; pearls: Kaisercraft; button; string
For the next card, I paired the Flourishes Release Challenge (FLLCMAY11), which is to use a sentiment directed to one's mom as a focal point, with the FTL139 sketch.
(yeah, I can hear you growling... my card has absolutely nothing to do with clean & simple... :))
Supplies: cardstock: PTI (Hibiscus Burst), recycled kraft, white; paper: Sassafras; stamps: Flourishes (Spring Bouquet); ink: Memento (Rich Cocoa), Versa Color (Cinnamon); Nestabilities Ovals; sewing machine; paper doily: Martha Stewart; organza ribbon; paper flower; buttons
This time I swear I'll let you live for a while... ;) I'm heading to bed now (hooray!), and tomorrow I won't post until later in the afternoon (which is early morning for my friends from a Northern Hemisphere).
Have a lovely time,whatever you're doing! Hugs,
