We're now in my second month, and the theme was Around the Compass.
Fan Club members can view the gallery here, and if you're not a member, than you've been hiding under a rock! HA!
(read all about joining FC here)
So, I though it would be fitting to use the SU! The Season Of Friendship stamps on my first card.
I quite like these leaves... very Autumnal :)

With the next one, I took the viewers to Japan. This fabulous stamp is from Inkadinkado (sentiment is from PTI).

One of the ongoing challenges in the DD Gallery, is called More Is More, and requires a basic and stepped-up version of the same card. Mine are below.
I used one of my first sets from There She Goes - Aim For The Clouds. Good times :)

I did some paper piecing with DP on the stepped-up version, and my background is busier by using a DP. I also sewn around the edges, instead of drawing a quick line around the scene, and popped up the sentiment.
Stay tuned for the second half of Around The Compass Gallery projects soon!
Now, if you're still with me, then a) you're fabulous, and b) you're ready for a giveaway!!
That's right! I happen to have a spare Poppies stamp set from There She Goes, which happens to be amongst my all-time favourites.
To have a chance to win this set, sign up via the Inlinkz widget below, and leave me a comment about what kind of stamps you like best! :)
The widget will be open for a week, so you'll have until next Thursday to link up. I'll draw the winner randomly shortly afterwards. Good luck!

ReplyDeleteLove your two Hot Air Balloon cards Iwona. Stamps I love?....hmmmm line art images for my copics; silhouettes and vintage, distressed images for Shabby cards....I love most stamps I guess....not so much cutesy images though:-)
ReplyDeleteIwona, I always marvel at your work! You are SO artistic, so VERY talented, and you pop out the projects like nobody's business!...I envy your mad skills :P
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to decide on my favourite type of stamps...I'm really liking botanical images right now...but, I am also getting into using copics so although I tend to go for more sophistocated images and not cutesy ones..I am now liking cute character images from companies like The Greeting Farm...If I am going to go cute then I still tend towards Japanese-cute if you know what I mean, lol...
Oh, I forgot to mention how absolutely GORGEOUS the Poppy Stamp Set is...Even if I don't win it..I will definitely be purchasing it! Love it and can't wait to get my hands on it and colour it a vivid orange-red!
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards Chupa. Love how you made that SU! tree work. The colors look great! I think I do live under the rock, since I am not a fan member! But I do love visiting SCS. :o) I love cear stamps, but I do feel that rubber images are sharper... and I love silhouette images... no coloring. :o)
ReplyDeleteI love the Poppy grouping on the right and the Poppy definition stamp. Love this set. Also love the Acacia set. I really like your two cards made with the aim for the clouds set. Beautiful work! I am glad you are showing up on the Penny Black Circle. Every time I see a new card I come back here and try to catch up on your posts. You really design some amazing cards! Thank you for sharing them with us!
ReplyDeleteKatie B.
Hey Chupa. What a yummy candy! I do love to work on flowers, but I think my faves are cute little girls. BTW... your cards are always so wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Denise
Chupa, I love these cards. As usual, you have a great eye for design and color. At the moment, my favorite stamps are ones that I can use my watercolor pencils or markers to color the images. This is so relaxing for me and I can sit with my husband while he is watching a show, and I can do my own thing. I just love that Poppy set. Great sentiments with the images. Thanks for the chance to win. Have a happy day.
ReplyDeleteThese are absolutely wonderful (like always).
ReplyDeleteMy fav stamps would be sentiment stamps and I am trying very hard to get a few butterfly stamps! I love butterflies, and usually print them out.
Hey Chupa!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to share the card that I made with this TSG Poppies set that I won from you....I made it a few weeks ago but, since it's a Rememberance Day card, I didn't blog it until Friday...
