What a day!

Hi there, peeps! I haven't had the best day today, starting with extreme heat outside, through some serious computer problems and in general not a cheerful mood... I was happy to discover though, that the compy is working again, after pretty much the whole day spent trying to revive it. We were already talking about the necessity to get a new one, what a relief it doesn't have to be so!
It's quite late now, that I finally have the opportunity to catch up on stuff, and I'm starting with showing you today's cards.

Firstly, I made two cards with the colours of CR84FN13. I wasn't happy enough with the first card I made, so I attempted another approach, and this one I'm showing you first:

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: white; paper: October Afternoon; stamps: Papertrey ink (Mat Stack 2); ink: Papertrey Ink (Chai), Vivid! (Brick), Memento (Rich Cocoa); paper doilies: Martha Stewart); die: Papertrey Ink (Mat Stack 2); butterfly: Jenni Bowlin; Liquid Pearls (Petal Pink); roses: Prima; buttons; string: Papertrey Ink; sewing machine; glitter glue: Reeves

The sketch is Card Patterns 100, along with the the colours of CR84FN13 (for both the above and below card)

Photobucket width= Photobucket

The other card is for the CPS203 sketch. I had high hopes for a nice distressed look, but I think I got a little overboard :)

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: white; paper: Basic Grey; stamps: Glitz Design (Distressing), Hero Arts; ink: Distress Ink (Frayed Burlap, Pumice Stone), ColorBox (Prussian Blue); gunmetal brads: Doodlebug Design; stitched ribbon; staples; glitter: Ice Stickles

Photobucket

I also managed to make one with the colours of Curtain Call 67 and SSSC102 sketch:

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: American Crafts (brown), Stampin' Up! (Cajun Craze); paper: discount paper; stamps: Papertrey Ink, Hero Arts; ink: Memento (Rich Cocoa), Versa Color (Hyacinth); brown marker; satin ribbon; Glossy Accents (Ranger); butterfly punch: Martha Stewart, Cristina Re); Cherry Sprinkle

Thanks for visiting, and look out for my Glitz Design post coming in 1,5 hours! :)

Celebrating new stamps :)

Sweet and short... I've got two new cards for you! Hubby & Chuplet gave mummy a little break and went to see the grandparents, and I couldn't miss the chance... oh you know exactly how it goes, don't you?? lol
Here they are...

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: white, DCWV (khaki), American Crafts (black), Stampin' Up! (Bravo Burgundy (?)); paper: DCWV (Mariposa); ink: Versafine (Onyx Black), VersaMark; silver embossing powder; gold leafing pen; gold organza ribbon; paper flower; gold leaf ornament

I used my brand new, first ever Verve stamps on this card, and of course, what other sketch I would use to celebrate them, if not the February Verve sketch at SCS??
Photobucket

The other card is a cause for celebration too, since I inked up more new stamps - this time it's the TSG Happy Mail set that was illustrated by yours truly :)

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: white, American Crafts (black); paper: Lily Bee Designs, Stampin' Up!; stamps: There She goes (Happy Mail); ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black), Versa Color (Sky Gray); border punch: EK Success, Fiskars; wrinkled ribbon; buttons

I played with the Wee Memories sketch (WMSC41)

As always, thanks for looking! xxx

Greetings, inklings! I'm sorry for having neglected you yesterday, I've been recuperating from a very busy week! I reckon the next one will be pretty much the same, but you know that I'll always carve out the time for a challenge submission (or two). Tonight I tried to pack in a few of my favourites, being economical is certainly something to look up to lately :)

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: white, cream, Stampin' Up! (Lavender Lace(?)); paper: October Afternoon; stamps: There She Goes (Angel Mail); ink: Versafine (Onyx Black), Papertrey Ink (Chai); border punch: Fiskars; label die: My Favorite Things; twill ribbon; pearls: AnnaBelle Stamps; vintage pearl brad; Cuttlebug embossing folder (Victoria)

I combined here the GS#72 sketch, and the colour splash of PDCC66:

ABS Bling Sketch Challenge

Hello, crafty folks! We're chiming in with a new bling-y Sketch at AnnaBelle Stamps, are you ready to play with us??
Here's my card, and the sketch below it. I used the adorable girl from I Can Fly set, and some sprinkles and ribbon from the store too!

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: white, Stampin' Up!; paper: Cosmo Cricket (Mitten Weather); stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps (I Can Fly); ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black), Versa Color (Cinnamon); Copic markers; edge distresser; Cuttlebug embossing folder: Victoria; Nestabilities Circles, Scalloped Circles; Lime Sprinkles; stripe ribbon

I die-cut the image in a way that I haven't tried before. I knew that some parts of the image will have to be outside the circle, so I cut around the rackets before running the paper through the Cuttlebug, and gently pulled these parts above the die, so that it didn't cut through them. What an easy job and fun effect!

I paired our sketch (ABSC034), with the colours of Curtain Call 66. I'm also playing with Copic Oz Love Challenge.
