Card Patterns sketch

Good evening, inkers!
Just one card tonight - I thought I'd have a more fruitful session, but frankly, I feel like someone chewed me through and spat me out. LOL
So, without further ado, here it is...

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: PTI (Berry Sorbet, Melon Berry); paper: Basic Grey (Curio); stamps: Penny Black, Sullivans; ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black), Distress Ink (Frayed Burlap), Versa Magic (Spanish Olive); Copics; Nestabilities Circles; sewing machine; ribbon: SU!; buttons; string: AnnaBelle Stamps

I'm playing with Card Patterns sketch 117 (I've been loving Nina's sketches!), and Jay Gee's Nook Challenge #8 (although my colours are a bit more saturated versions of the inspiration)

I hope you like the card... see you tomorrow, have a fabulous day! xoxo

In teals

Good grief, I managed an evening's post! Unplanned and late, but what the heck. I love hanging around with you folks :)
I've got two new cards to share, let's start with a CAS that I'm very happy about (although this is the kind of card that I usually consider cheated - it required very little amount of work).
Remember the card that I posted earlier today, with the (wonky) scored background? Well, I decided that I try to make it a true 45 degrees this time, and so I did.
For those who also struggle with keeping the angles, here's a tip - place a setsquare in the corner of the score board, so that the right angle is in the corner. The edge of the longer side will guide your paper :)

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: American Crafts (teal, grey, black), white; stamps: Red Lead Paperworks; ink: Versafine (Onyx Black); ribbon: PTI (Ocean Tides); Score Buddy

I combined on this card the Embellish Text Color Trends Challenge, FTL142 sketch (I took some freedom...), and CAS121 - Folded and/or Scrunched Ribbon.

I've also got this card, another no-brainer, and that's because layering and cutting into apaper is something that requires no thinking on my side.
It uses my set from the TSG Store - Flying By.

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: SU! (Wild Wasabi), American Crafts (Coffee), cream; paper: Cosmo Cricket; stamps: There She Goes (Flying By); ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black); Copics; Nestabilities Circles/Scalloped Circles; paper piercer; Glossy Accents; gem brads

I based this one on the SSSC119 sketch:

As always, thank you soooo much for paying me a visit, and especially for leaving the the much appreciated comments! I hope you'll have a wonderful day, and I'm heading to bed. See you tomorrow... mwah!

TSG109 - Color Challenge

LinkIt's time for a new exciting challenge at the There She Goes blog!
This week we have a fun color challenge for you to create with! The colors are Ivory, Red and Teal but feel free to add other neutral colors as you see fit (kraft, white, black, etc.). Have fun, we can’t wait to see what you create!!

I settled down for the lovely mini set illustrated by Chris Dark - Tulip. To create my bunch, I used the masking technique.

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: SU! (River Rock), white; paper: 7 Gypsies, American Crafts; stamps: There She Goes (Tulip); ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black); Copics; label die: PTI; brown marker; grosgrain ribbon; string; buttons

I used this lovely sketch from The Ribbon Reel Challenge #3, and I'm also playing with TSTR54 - "2-4-6", which is to use two patterned papers, four buttons (can you see them all?? :)), and six layers! My layers are: base, mat, paper 1, paper 2, ribbon & label. Woohoo!

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card inspired by the picture (please tell us how in your post), and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday. The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG109 so we can check out your beautiful work!

Thank you for looking! Now it's your turn to get inky! :)

Inspiration

Hi, peeps! I'm chiming in with a quick card from this morning. The FS this week is Rosemary, aka RosiGrld, and I found this uber AMAZING card in her gallery. Can you say gorgeous??
I must say that I failed lining up the scored lines perfectly though. I wish mine were as neat as hers!

Photobucket

The Pyrex effect

Hi, friends! I neglected you a in the last two days (meaning really that I neglected some of my weekly challenges), but it's been madness here, on too many levels to count. My dad in law was stricken with sudden health issues, and I couldn't wrap my head around anything.
We've been away all day today, and I have just sat down to the computer to catch up on stuff. Not sure how much I'll manage to do tonight (in sense of getting inky), but certainly I'm too dead to do much else...

Anyhoo, I cooked up this one quickly yesterday, and I wanted to share...

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: white, American Crafts (red), paper: My Mind's Eye (Stella & Rose); stamps: Hampton Art, PTI (Signature Greetings); ink: Hero Arts (Soft Apricot), Memento (Lady Bug, Rich Cocoa); red marker; sewing machine; EK Success corner rounder; brads

I made it with the inspiration from Tuesday Trigger: Pyrex Effect, the sketch from Paper and Such, and PPA95 - Brads.

Thanks for coming! xxx

Scrappy Saturday Challenge - Etsy/Pinterest inspiration

It's time for another fun Scrappy Saturday challenge, over at the Wee Memories blog! The challenge this week is to be inspired by something you found on Etsy or Pinterest.

The sponsor of the challenge is May Arts, and they're kindly offering a ribbon prize pack, to one lucky winner.

My inspiration comes from Pinterest. I love the place, and I keep some fabulous inspiration photos there. I chose probably the most loved photo from my collection, this amazing bundle of vintage bits & bobs from Heather Bullard:

This is my favourite colour combo at the moment - baby pink and teal. Add some cream, flowers and lots of lace, and I'm in my private crafty heaven :)

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: PTI (Ocean Tides, Rustic White); paper: My Mind's Eye (Lime Twist); stamps: Taylored Expressions (It's A Banner Day - 3), Layers Of Color (Flourish Crest); ink: Versa Magic (Pink Grapefruit, Oasis Green); Nestabilities Labels 14; grosgrain ribbon: Sullivans; Liquid Pearls (Pewter); felt flower; paper flower; doily lace: Kaisercraft; buttons: AnnaBelle Stamps; sewing machine; Cuttlebug embossing folder (Victoria)

I used the SC334 sketch, and I'm also playing with Wild Orchid Challenge #24 - Embossed Layers.

I picked these gorgeous MME Lime Twist papers the other day, and I setrously can't stop cutting into these... I love this fun polka dot pattern and wanted to use it, so I steered towards the masculine theme.
The sentiment and candle are from Hold A Candle set, and the strip of stars comes from Backgrounds By Design 4.

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: PTI (Enchanted Evening, Simply Chartreuse), American Crafts (red), white; paper: My Mind's Eye; stamps: AnnaBelle Stamps (Hold A Candle, Backgrounds By Design 4); ink: Memento (Paris Dusk); Copics; border punch: EK Success; sewing machine; glitter glue

Hello, peeps!
It's Thursday, and you know what it means... A new CASE Study challenge! I'm not thrilled that with this challenge we're saying good-bye to our May Muse, Sarah Martina Parker. When I picked her, I knew that I'm going to love CASEing her, but in the end I had such an amazing time, that I would just keep doing it for a couple of weeks more... *sigh*
Here's the last gorgeous inspiration card:

LinkI love kraft combined with a dark hue, and I picked plum for mine. For the third colour accent, I swapped green for blue. I also wanted to try the Sarah-style distressing with white ink, so I picked my PTI Fresh Snow and applied it directly to paper.

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: SU! (Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede), cream; paper: Prima; stamps: Hero Arts (Sunburst Lace), Layers Of Color (Flutterescent), PTI (Mat Stack 1, Say It With Style); ink: Distress Ink (Pumice Stone), Memento (Rich Cocoa), Versa Magic (Oasis Green), PTI (Fresh Snow); edge distresser; sewing machine; seam binding; button; string; epoxy letter stickers: Jemark

I used Card Paterns sketch 116, and the colours of CC324 (Baja Breeze, Soft Suede, Perfect Plum).
