The Craft's Meow November Release - Day 3

It's Day *3* of The Craft's Meow November release!! Today brings two amazing stamp sets, designed by Nina Brackett: Vintage Snowflakes and Vintage Ornaments. They're both stunning!

I designed my first, clean & simple card, with the Vintage Ornaments set.

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Canson (black, red), white, embossed white; stamps: The Craft's Meow (Vintage Ornaments); ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black, Bamboo Leaves, Lady Bug, London Fog); ribbon, button

Here's Laura's sketch from CFC26, that I used:

One more card, with Vintage Snowflakes set playing the lead role (and a little addition of the previous set, in form of the sentiment on a tag)

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Canson (pink, cream); paper: Echo Park Paper (Victoria Gardens); stamps: The Craft's Meow (Vintage Snowflakes, Vintage Ornaments); ink: Versa Magic (Pink Grapefruit, Oasis Green), Versafine (Onyx Black), silver; MFT Die-Namics snowflake die; paper doily; buttons ;seam binding; brad: My Mind's Eye; sewing machine

This time I'm playing with Card Patterns sketch 139. I hope you can see it on my card, I strayed a bit from it...

Head on over to The Craft's Meow blog for more inspiration from the TCM Design Team, and don't forget to leave a comment while there, for your chance to win one of these sets!
Thank you for visiting! See you tomorrow for the last day of release, and one more fun set :)

Jay Gee's Nook Challenge #13

With the last Sunday of the month, arrives a new challenge at Jay Gee's Nook!
JGSNOOK_LOGO
This time we are not having an inspiration collage, as we usually would. With Halloween just around the corner, we are asking you to create a non-Holiday card, WITH Holiday-themed stamps.
I had more fun with my sample, than I expected! I took that adorable animal from the Hero Arts Christmas Reindeer set, and paired it with the sentiment from Cuckoo (also by HA).
The result is a hip card, suitable for any season and recipient :) Who says that sweater-wearing reindeer can't be roaming the spring meadows?

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: recycled kraft, cream; paper: Echo Park Paper, Cosmo Cricket; stamps: Hero Arts (Christmas Reindeer, Cuckoo); ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black); Copics; sewing machine; MFT Die-Namics (Scallop Border, Fresh Cut Grass), PTI Cloud die; Cuttlebug embossing folder (Swiss Dots); baker's twine

I used the colours/theme of Embellish Die Cuts Color Trends Challenge. The scalloped border, grass and clouds, are all die cut. In case it's hard to figure out, the clouds are made in a negative die cut technique. I just slip some patterned paper underneath.

Hop on over to the JG's Nook blog, to see the rest of the DT gals' creations! Enjoy your weekend,

The Craft's Meow November Release - Day 2

It's Day *2* of The Craft's Meow November release!! Today brings two more fabulous stamp sets: Season's Greetings, designed by the one and only Nina Brackett, and Santa's Little Helper, by Maree Truelove.

The Season's Greetings set, coordinates with Spellbinders Labels 14 dies. Here's what I cooked up with it :)
(I also stamped some stars, from yesterday's set, The Merry Best, on the patterned paper)

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: recycled kraft, cream; paper: My Mind's Eye, Authentique; stamps: The Craft's Meow (Season's Greetings, The Merry Best); ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black, London Fog, Bahama Blue); sewing machine; Nestabilities Labels 14; snowflake die: MFT Die-Namics; pearl brad; string; decorative bells; lace trim: Kaisercraft

I played with Inkspirations sketch #93, and the colours of PDCC105:

And here's the card with the Santa's Little Helper set, again put together with a little help from The Merry Best (I used the Ho Ho Ho sentiment).
I assembled the little envie myself, firstly drawing the simple shape on the paper, and cutting it out. You can find many envelope templates by googling it.

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: white, PTI (Ocean Tides), embossed white; stamps: The Craft's Meow (Santa's Little Helper, The Merry Best); ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black, London Fog); glitter glue; Copics; button; string; lace trim

Head on over to The Craft's Meow blog for more inspiration from the TCM Design Team, and don't forget to leave a comment while there, for your chance to win one of these sets!
Thank you for visiting, I'll see you tomorrow for more release fun :)

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge 71

Time for another Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge, peeps!! It's chic, it's classy, and me likey. A lot :)

My card may not be an epitome of inventiveness, I used a simple play of textures and dimension, to do the job for me :)

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: SU! (Old Olive), PTI (Aqua Mist), white; stamps: Waltzingmouse Stamps (Vintage Labels 10, Say It Loud); ink: Versafine (Onyx Black), Versa Magic (Sea Breeze); embossing folder: Couture Creations (Diamond Trellis); buttons; Nestabilities Labels 10; edge distresser; ribbon: Sullivans; felt flower: Maya Road; French Pastry doily die: Cheery Lynn

I used the colours of CTD165. I'm also playing with a Texture Challenge at Lily Pad Cards.

Head on over to the Waltzingmouse Sketch blog, to check out what the rest of the Mischief Makers cooked up with it! We hope you will play along as well, if you find the time.

Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #35

I wanted to pop in with this week's sketch a little bit earlier today, considering that in over an hour, two posts are coming and I want them to stay on top for a while :)
It's a simple sketch with a room for interpretation - as always, have fun with it!

I did what I LOVE, on my card, which is combining various stamps for an eclectic look. There's some Glitz Design, My Mind's Eye and October Afternoon goodness stamped here. I really, really dig this typewriter :)

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: recycled kraft, white; paper: Echo Park Paper (Victoria Gardens); stamps: October Afternoon (Thrift Shop), My Mind's Eye (Kraft Funday), Glitz Design (Distressing); ink: Memento (Bamboo Leaves, Lulu Lavender), Versafine (Onyx Black); sewing machine; Die-Namics File Tab die (MFT): buttons; twill ribbon
---------------------------------------------------

A few things to keep in mind if you decide to use my sketch:
- You're kindly asked to save the image onto your computer first, and if you make a card based on it, please link back to this post.
- If you upload your card to an online gallery, please use the code SSC35.
- Please share the link to your creation via the Inlinkz widget, so that I can come and check it out. I would love to see what you did with it!
- The colours/elements mean nothing towards the card. All styles, colours and supplies, as well as slight alterations of the sketch are welcome.
- A new sketch and sample is posted every Saturday, but you're welcome to play any time! Just leave a link in the comments section after Inlinkz widget closes.

The Craft's Meow November Release - Day 1

Oh, my golly! The excitement of the TSG release hasn't even started to fade yet, and I'm chiming in with another, SUPER FUN and utterly gorgeous, release from The Craft's Meow!!
It's my first release that I'm participating in as a full Design Team member, and I'm happy beyond measure. Just wait and see all seven (yes, SEVEN!!) sets, that are leased next month!

The first two sets thrown in the basket today, are Happy Hoolidays and The Merry Best.

The first set, designed by Jenny Suchin, is just the cutest!! I mean... look at this adorable owlie, tangled in the Christmas lights! It reminds me of the comedy that they used to show in Christmas time, with the man setting up an elaborate light work on the house, and then seeing it all going wrong. Fun times :)

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: Canson (brown), cream; paper: Basic Grey (Jovial); stamps: The Craft's Meow (Happy Hoolidays); ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black), PTI (Fresh Snow), Distress Ink (Frayed Burlap); Copics; twill ribbon; sewing machine; glitter glue

The Merry Best is designed by Kaitlyn Ord, and it's full of whimsical holiday images, as well as the loveliest sentiments.

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: SU! (River Rock), American Crafts (black); paper: Cosmo Cricket (Mitten Weather); stamps: The Craft's Meow (The Merry Best); ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black, Bamboo Leaves, Cantaloupe), Versa Magic (Turquoise Gem), ColorBox (Hunter Green); sewing machine; glitter glue; lace trim; buttons; baker's twine

October Afternoon Guestie - Week 3

Me again! Haha! I bet you've got enough of me by now, don't you? *wink*
It's not even my last word for today, there's at least one more post coiming... The Craft's Meow release, anyone?? Fun, FUN!

I just wanted to let you know, that my last GD post at the October Afternoon's blog is up. You can view the details here, but I can certainly show you what I made this time...

Photobucket

Yep! I scrapped... and to top it up, I'm even happy with how I photographed this one! I can hear the angels sing... :)
I'm super sad that my Guest Designer gig is over, it went by all too quickly. However, the good memories is what I will have forever. Hmmm... maybe I should scrap it too?? haha
See you in T minus 1 hour (roughly), for the first day of the TCM release! You don't want to miss it, honestly...

I had my regular 'inky time' last night, but decided to wait a couple of hours, to let you guys 'digest' my two previous posts first :) I wanted to catch up on some challenges. CASE Study Challenge #63

We are launching our last challenge with Niki Estes, at CASE Study. I had so much fun this month, and would easily do a couple more! It's so cool to "legally" CASE some of the most inspiring ladies out there! Here's the card for this week...

Again, I picked one of my favourites from Niki. It's one of the most gorgeous examples of stamping that I've seen. I love custom stamped papers, and if paired with flawless sponging and fun embossing, my heart is set a flutter...
I knew that I wanted to pull out the same stamp set, for my inspired card. I changed the layout and colours, but I stayed true to the idea. I only forgot about sponging - I realized that I skipped that part, after I sew the layer to the mat. Ugh.

Photobucket

Supplies: cardstock: SU! (retired colour), American Crafts (grey), embossed white (stash); paper: Pink Paislee (365 Degrees); stamps: PTI (Year Of Flowers: Roses); ink: Versafine (Onyx Black), PTI (Fresh Snow); Y04 Copic; Nestabilities Labels 10; sewing machine; ribbon: PTI; MFT Die-Namics File Tab

I paired Card Patterns sketch 138, with the colours of CR84FN41:

Please visit my sweet and talented DT at their blogs, and check out what they whipped up with this week's inspiration!

Niki Estes (October Muse)
Amy Wanford
Andrea Ewen
Clare Buswell
Cristina Kowalczyk
Debby Hughes
Jean Martin
Julie Smith
Teneale Williams
Teresa Kline

If you'd like to play along with us, hop over to the CASE Study blog, where you'll find all the details, fabulous inspiration and InLinkz tool to link up your creation!
Thanks for paying me a visit today! See you later,
