Papertrey Ink 5th Anniversary, Day 1

Hello, folks! There will be a few posts from me today, including a new Bring Back Beautiful challenge post and the first day of Some Odd Girl digi release, so stay tuned!

For now, I'd like to show you the card that I put together for the first day of PTI's 5th Anniversary celebrations. WTG gals! I heard there's a lot in store during the next two weeks, and I'm hoping to find the time for at least some of it.
Today's challenge for the PTI fans and cheerleaders is to create a project inspired by one of the DT girls' favourite project, as displayed on Nichole's blog.
I chose this project from Lisa, for its beautiful layout. You can find it HERE on her blog.

I switched the colours and modified the elements to suit what I had on hand, and came up with this:

Supplies: cardstock: PTI (Raspberry Fizz, Hibiscus Burst, Sweet Blush, Aqua Mist, Rustic Cream); stamps: PTI (In Bloom, Mat Stack 1 - with die, Blooming Button Bits); ink: Memento (Rose Red, Tuxedo Black), Fresh Ink (Tuscan Olive), PTI (Fresh Snow), Distress Ink (Pumice Stone); ribbon: PTI (Fine Linen); PTI Impression Plate; button: Basic Grey; button twine: May Arts

I also used some of my favourite PTI supplies on this card. Firstly, the cardstock. Ahhhh. I can't say enough of good things about its quality. I'm a HUGE fan of their rustic range, and I would honestly use Rustic White & Cream on every single card, if I could. Unfortunately, living in Australia, ordering from PTI is close to impossible due to the pricey postage, hence I'm hoarding my cardstock like nothing else :)
Then, there's the Fresh Snow ink. It's the only one that actually WORKS for me. No embossing, no fuss, just ink and stamp. Simple? Yes. I'm sure you know how hard it is to find a white ink that leaves a clear impression on a dark coloured cardstock.
Lastly, there's also the Impression Plate that I love, and I would gladly own every single design they have. With time, maybe :)
(I gather I need no brag about their stamps... we all use them & love them. Goodness knows I adore my PTI stuff :) )

So anyway, I thought I'd enter this card into the Paper Piecing challenge at The Ribbon Carousel (RCC38), since I did with that bloom what I love doing so much lately... :)

See you soon enough! Mwah,
