My question is... when colouring, what is the most enjoyable/challenging part of an image for you? For example, I like colouring hair, but I laugh at my private joke, that I'm having good or bad hair days. There are times they turn out fabulous, and sometimes it's a small disaster! lol
I also have a card (of course!), with a sweet little peak into one of the new sets... Gwen In Bloom. This is also a set that I'm giving away!
I'm wildly excited about having uber-adorable critters sharing the space, with some of your favourite SOG characters! Just look at this two...
Supplies: cardstock: SU! (Baja Breeze, retired dark blue), white; paper: Cosmo Cricket; stamps: Some Odd Girl (Gwen In Bloom); ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black); Copics; Nestabilities Squares/Scalloped Squares; black pen; lace; striped ribbon; button: Basic Grey; button twine
I took the sketch from MOJO232...
I hope that after visiting the ODDies' blogs, you will be all ready to get to know our new stamps! Join us again on the 19th, and stay tuned for the drawing of the lucky winner! Cheers,

Chupa I am just WILD about this card!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the whole looks.. the colored critter panel is amazing!!! I am SO inspired!! :)
This is so sweet Iwona! I love your colouring! My love hate relationship with hair colouring sounds pretty similar to yours! It's great when it turns out well, but I feel so disappointed when it's a bad hair day!
ReplyDeleteArabella
Such a cute card! I don't know why but the most challenging thing when coloring a card is the skin for me ( I have bad skin or good skin days intsead of hair).
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful and springy Iwona!! LOVELY!!
ReplyDeleteCrafty Hugs!
Meredith
So pretty Iwona...
ReplyDeleteadorable image and coloring, your ribbon is beautiful
ReplyDeleteTina
Such a bright and cheerful card! Hmm I would have to go with hair also... love the challenge and the depth you can get with it.
ReplyDeleteThe animals are very uber cute, kawaii, round and fun your coloring is perfect! When I have to color flesh that is by far the most challenging but the most enjoyable is usually the clothes, I love to use colors there.
ReplyDeleteSorry to double post but the Leah next hop link may have ben backwards or something like that. I think we all go to http://thechroniclesoforange.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteThat Leah
Cute card, great hop too..
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and yeah, you're right, those critters are too darn "tweet" lol.
ReplyDeleteMy coloring nightmare is coloring..... lol, I'm still trying to get my lighting right, add some depth and shadows. (and on the SOG images... drawing a nose!)
what a cute and beautiful card, Iwona.
ReplyDeleteThe most enjoyable/challenging part of coloring an image for me is made shadows.
hugs
Chupa this is GORGEOUS my dear! I love the coloring of course and those fabulous papers! The little addition of lace is a perfect touch!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
M
Chupa, this is simply so cute & sweet.
ReplyDeleteYour card is so pretty - am loving these little animals and birds.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the most challenging part of colouring an image - definitely the hair and usually it's a bad hair day!!
Denise xx
Wow what a super cute card! Love the images and your colouring of both of them is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI love colouring and I can't say its a special part I love most, sometimes it's the hair, sometimes the dress or clothes,- but the best thing is when you are done and you put the shadows around the image and you really see it turn to life!
Thanks for sharing
Hugs, Jill
What a supercute card you made...!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, I don´t agree with your favouritething to colour, I can only colour blond :D
I guess my favourite is the clothing...match them. It´s like in the morning, when I´m picking out what to wear ;)
Love that little yellow bird! I don't really have one particular thing I love to color? I actually enjoy the entire thing! I learn something new every time I color a image.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest challenge is getting the shading correct for a specific light source.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable card! Of course, we would expect nothing less from you. :) I agree, the hardest part for me can be the hair. With some stamps it can be quick and simple and look great, and others it takes a few tries.. but trying is the best part!
ReplyDeletesuper awesome Image, love what you did.
ReplyDeleteI find your question awesome.
My question is... when colouring, what is the most enjoyable/challenging part of an image for you?
Most enjoyable is dressing the image for me, love fashion. The challenging is always the hair. I do not ever like it lol.
I need a tutor lol.
hugs
Your card is super cute!! My hardest part of coloring is getting the shading right (but I use watercolors...).
ReplyDeleteI love coloring in images because I can make the colors to match my project but I am sometimes challenged by getting the shading right so it looks realistic.
ReplyDeleteAdorable card! I just love coloring..I like to see the image come to life. I guess I prefer people more than anything else.
ReplyDeleteAdorable card!!!
ReplyDeleteThis question is very hard for me because I´m still learning coloring and I have´t got much colors. So it´s difficult to color hair. But I do love color clothes that is easyest for me at the moment :D
Super cute card. I love coloring hair too, I love pink hair for my fairies!
ReplyDeleteLove the card! Such darling critters. For me, it is the skin...it is the most challenging for me but when I get those shadows in just the right places I love it! Still working on that. Olivia
ReplyDeleteAdore this beautiful bird and bee! so sweet!
ReplyDeleteWith colouring for me the enjoyable and yet challenging part is shading, I am just starting out but getting there slowly! :-)
Adorable card! Can't wait for the new release. I'm just starting to use Copics so everything is challenging! lol. But I would have to say the most enjoyable and challenging would be hair also. I think the hair makes a big difference (in real life too!)
ReplyDeleteWow this is magnificent. Love how you've framed the image with stitching and underlined it with ribbon and lace. My fav part has to be to colour the skin;) Bettina xx
ReplyDeleteSo cute! My favorite part of coloring is trying any kind of shading since I'm very new at it.
ReplyDeleteStunning card Chupa! My fave art is the highlights - trying not to be too heavy with the pen and being brave by leaving a some white!
ReplyDeleteHair is my nr two! But my nr 1 challenge/enyment is pleats! If I get them right Im sooo happy.. but they're a bit hard for me still!
ReplyDeleteYour card is amazing!
Gorgeous creation, love it!
ReplyDeleteColoring is my favorite part of creating - I find coloring black hair to be the most challenging for me. My favorite part of coloring is the blending - I use Prismacolor pencils with mineral spirits, and I love blending them and shading.
Beautiful card. I find hair challenging and enjoy doing that a lot as that more than anything sets the image apart. TFS
ReplyDeleteThat card is the "tweetest"! Sorry I couldn't resist! I am rather new to coloring and my biggest challenge has been blending but I think I'm on the right track now. Thankfully!
ReplyDeleteAwe your card is gorgeous!! I find coloring up outfits to be fun and coloring of the skin to be some what challenging!
ReplyDeletehugs, Heidi
Yeah! Perfect spring card! The bright colors inspire me a lot!!
ReplyDeleteI'm learning how to color better, but for me the clothes are the most challenging part!! My faces and hair are always the same :) (i don't have more colors! )
aww how funny exact same for me the hair!
ReplyDeletebut mine are mostly bad hair days x
love the sweet card x
OMG, how freakin' ADORABLE! LOVE these cute little guys and your colouring astonishes me!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend!
Hugs,
Naomi
What a bright and fun card! My coloring challenge is skin tones. I still can't get them right.
ReplyDeleteCHUPA CHUPA CHUPA!! this is BEAUTIFUL! the colouring - SO FABULOUS! i love the happy little scene you've created, and the papers are the perfect match! you showcased these critters wonderfully, and i am so pleased that you're Odd like me! xo
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, your colors just pop off the card! Really gorgeous and mine are folds, ughh they work sometimes and sometimes not so much :)
ReplyDeleteLove your card! So much fun! My favorite part of coloring are coloring stripes. Stripes on shirts, socks, anything.:)
ReplyDeleteSince I've only had my Copics since Christmas, it would be everything. LOL The most difficult thing right now is black hair. Definitely need to invest in a colorless blender.
ReplyDeleteHi Chupa! Loving your card (as always!)
ReplyDeleteI find I can either make or break an image with the hair, but I also find any accessories the stamp have with them, presents, books etc also make me get stuck at times too...
oh my gosh! this card is sooo cute!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love coloring hair! I like playing around with my water colors to come up with fun new ways to make the hair pop! Plus, i hardly ever color 'normal' hair colors! purple hair is my favorite to color!!
Oh my gosh, what a "tweet" card!! I love coloring skin. I love your joke about good and bad hair days!
ReplyDeleteYour card is absolutlely LOVELY!
ReplyDeleteThis biggest challenge for me is HAIR...ugh but I do so enjoy faces.
Gorgeous colors...... so bright and cheerful...
ReplyDeleteFav thing is starting a new never before colored image (by me )
WOW so vibrant!
ReplyDeleteMy most challenging thing to colour is animal fur or bird feathers ... I find this difficult. Oh and shoes! I find these hard too!
I really enjoy colouring hair ... and clothes.
xoxox Carly
I Like coloring the eyes what there are some. Esp, 1-blue AND 1-Green Eye, like some people in real life have, but are rare. I went o school with a girl who had Deep dark Velvet Black Hair And had 1-Blue/Violet and 1-Green/Emerald color eyes. On top of it she was VEY VERY SWEET 2!
ReplyDeleteAww this is super gorgeous!! Loving these new images :) I think I really enjoy colouring hair too...something about creating a lot of texture! Pleats are fun too :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable card! Love the colors, and the coloring! All the detail is just wonderful! The most challenging thing in coloring for me is figuring out where the shading goes. Practice, practice, practice.
ReplyDeleteWhat a super sweet card!
ReplyDeleteI like colouring clothes and flowers, but I find faces challenging.
The question now made me think...there are good days & bad days....
Rene
Chupa, I just loooove your card-- that birdie is super cute and I adore the elements you chose! My favorites are hair and ruffles in clothing!

ReplyDeleteyou know what it is the shadowing! i always have a chuckle to myself when i do not get the shadows right. its not my fault, the sun keeps going behind the clouds!!!
ReplyDeleteChupa love your little sweet teets! They are just perfect! For me my biggest challenge when colouring is what colors should I choose because there's so many and sometimes it just doesn't work out the way you want it to be.
ReplyDeleteI love how the bee looks like it is about to fly off the card, I also really like the color combo you used on the card.

Wow! A beautiful card! I just love it! For coloring... I seriously struggle with shading and my images tend to look flat, but I still have a lot of fun with it! My favorite part is when I finish - when I look at the finished image, I can tell that I'm growing and improving every time!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Dee
What a beautiful card and the images are fantastic!! I love colouring the faces, but I do find hair a big challenge, especially black hair, I haven't mastered that yet!! But,you know what they say, practice makes perfect!
ReplyDeleteFor me it is faces, experimenting where the light and shade hits is a mega learning curve for me but I can normally always get the skin perfect!! Gorgeous card, the colours are beautiful! x
ReplyDeleteGreat card, beautiful coloring! The most challenge part of coloring for me is always the hair because it is hard to shade. The most enjoyable part is clothes because you can make them so many different colors.
ReplyDeleteOh my word - I love everything about this card. Stunning!! I love everything about coloring, so it's hard to pick a favorite. I get a lot of satisfaction about being able to shade to make things look realistic
ReplyDeleteOhhh your card is so sweet- tweet tweet :O)
ReplyDeleteI'm always having a hard time, getting the skintone just the way I want. Guess I just need to practice lots more ;O)
Hugs Laila
I love your card and how sweet it looks. I think your coloring is fantastic. As for your question I was going to say hair as well. I love to color the hair, but like you there are days when I should just put the Copic down and walk away. I love your joke of good or bad hair days. lol... It is SO true. :O) Have a great Sunday. Hugs, Lisa G
ReplyDeleteTotally tweet card! Love it.
ReplyDeleteI think shading would be it for me. Would be fun to get it 'just right'.
