The Craft's Meow April Release - Day 1

My most favourite time of the month has arrived! We're kicking off this month's release at The Craft's Meow today, with two new, amazing stamp sets.

The Craft's Meow

Before we get there, please help me welcome our two Guest Designers, Gini Cagle and Geri Freeman! These talented girls take part in our release festivities.

The two sets that we're introducing today, are called Nature's Beauty and Travel Time, and were designed by Michelle Bertuzzi and Kaitlyn Ord respectively.

The Nature's Beauty set is very fresh and Springy, perfect for this time of year!
I stamped the main image in Spellbinders™ Nestabilities® S5-077 Labels Twenty Five, after I had it sponged with green & blue inks, with the paper still in the die.
Remeber when you do the stamping in a die, to both press firmly as otherwise parts of the image won't stamp well, and also try not to move your hand, as the combination of die + inky stamp means slippery...

I matted the label with another one, S4-190 Labels Four, and the panels were embossed with ES-006 So Trendy M-Bossabilities™.

I'm playing with DS47 sketch:

The second set, hip and trendy Travel Time, is also perfect for masculine designs. To emphasice the grungy feel of the images, I embossed the boat/plane with clear embossing powder, mixed with a bit of white one. The result is the 'speckles', that in my opinion give them some extra 'oomph'.
The 'voyage' word is a part of one of the sentiments in the set, but I inked up only this word and let the Basic Grey alphas take center stage. I found them especially fitting, since the designs reminds me of lifesavers and old-world sailors.

Npw, the fun part is that you can win one of these sets, by leaving a comment on the TCM blog today!! You have until 9:00 pm PDT to do so! Also, please take the time to see all of the designers' blogs, as they all have gorgeous stuff to show you!

Tomorrow brings another fabby set, I hope you'll join us! xxx
