CASE Study Challenge #90

I'm excited to roll in with the second week at CASE Study, with our May Muse Agnieszka Malyszek (Aga)!
I chose for us to tone down this week, with the aid of this beautiful and stunningly elegant creation below:

I really like how strong a statement the vertical lines make, even through the strip plays a secondary role to the beautiful stamped flowers. I translated this part into the woodgrain design (stamped by masking a portion of the card). I also like the sophisticated touch of pearls, so I knew I'd be adding these.

I used a variety of stamps again this week, including Hero Arts, PTI and Inkadinkado
I used the middle sized flower from my Bitty Blossoms Shapeabilities®, to create the bloom, and I added two hand-cut leaves.

I used the ColourQ combo below; I'm also playing with Casual Fridays Birthday challenge and he Damask & Brocade Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

But wait, there's more! I'm feeling doubly inspired this week, and I had a go with another card!

This time I translated the inspiration more accurately. I too included a strip of ribbed paper, which is a piece of corrugated cardboard. I kept similar colours, but saturated the palette by adding some red. The stamped roses were swapped for October Afternoon's rub-on roses, and pearls for splatters of ink (Sidewalks/Hopscotch, also from OA).
This gorgeous sentiment is from PTI, it was stamped in two colours of ink, and the background paper is from Teresa Collins "Fabrications".

I used the lovely sketch from Card Patterns below, and I'm also entering this card into the Spatter Technique Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. I'm loving the Card Creations Week challenges!!
