It's been an 'in-and-out of the craft space' kind of day, and I found myself completing another card. It's even simpler this time, and so not my style...!
I started with the Tape Color Trends Challenge at Embellish blog, that I wanted to play with for some time. I'm always having trouble with clever use of washi tape, so I googled it for a bit and that's what came to my mind afterwards...
It's not necessarily a clever use of tape either, but I think it's a cute card. I really like how the sky turned out, and I created it by inking only a part of the HA Clouds stamp.
You can achieve this look, with the outlines softly merging with the background, by using an inkpad with a soft, spongy surface. Versa Magic or Impress pads would work just fine, I used ColorBox pigment Cat's Eye pad and it was great too. Pads with fabric-covered surface like Memento and SU! inks are not perfect for this.
I'm also playing with the Topsy Turvy challenge at A Blog Named Hero. They ask to use the sentiment as something else, and my idea was to create a trail behind the bike, like a breath of wind. I hope it shows!

ReplyDeleteLove your card - it caught my eye at SCS. When I went to CASE study this morning, Google (or my computer, who knows) gave me a Malware message - so I can't post my card there. Not sure if you're aware (or the right person to tell, even!)
