Cameo love...

So... some of you might have heard that I treated myself to a Silhouette Cameo :)
The decision was driven by an impulse; funnily enough I don't do impulsive (I'm an over-thinker), especially not when considerable money is concerned. Let's just say that an awesome opportunity came my way and I took the plunge! I'm grateful I did :)
I finally had an opportunity to unpack the baby today and have some fun. After a few battles with finding the best cardstock, here's what I created:

The silhouette of the girl and the sentiment were cut on Cameo, the clouds are PTI dies.
I'm able to play with the first challenge at The Cameo Spotlight, with the theme of Summer. I also used the colours of CTD205.
(my pumpkin looks very reddish, I don't know why - it IS way more orange in real life)

I hope did well enough with my first attempt...
FYI, this is the third time I posted today, so if you missed my Flourishes card or a publications post, please scroll down. Thanks!

  13. Seriously, this is your first card using your Cameo?!! Dang - you're a quick study!! But I guess I shouldn't be surprised by that. I've always been a fan of your brilliant work, and this is no exception. Thanks so much for playing with us a The Cameo Spotlight Challenge - we're so glad you did!! P.S. I, too, struggled with the kind of cardstock that worked best. My faves are Bazzill and American Crafts - they seem to work the best, although I have some success with Stampin' Up! if I double cut. Hope this helps!
